My goal is to use my 170+ kaiser to boss and obtain equips for my NL (ya it might take a while) BUT i already have like 6 coins from von leon (i really like that set) SO YA i HOPE WE CAN ALL BE THE BEST OF FRIENDS! tehe

my goals: 40k range unbuffed and perfecting my empress claw, still 3 more scrolls left.
I just accomplished my previous goal of 30k range unbuffed. all my equips i have made myself, so its taken time and money lol. (just extra money i would have spent on luxuries (things i dont need) anyway).
so maybe i can get a 40k range by cubing some stuff.

I love the positive feedback it really does motivate me :') And yea i've used over 200 of the [b]good[/b] circulators and came out with nothing special I'd gladly settle at 15% crit on a line cuz that'll increase my dps by a ton giving me almost 100% crit rate! oh wow, my thread apparently attracted a famous guy! oh snaps! You're the one who did the root abyss tutorial video right? Good job on that btw, you gotta educate these newbies now that we're finally getting some bosses that aren't just spam and pot lol. Anyways those are some awesome goals, The azwan one is gonna take some work though, I got lucky and managed to get 15% crit rate on one of my lines so I'm sitting on that for right now (pretty awesome for NL, I've got 85% crit rate flat right now). Good luck with your goals bro, I'm sure you reach them.

@Above haha that's awesome, I'm still relatively new to merching although I don't think I'm doing bad at all (I've made close to around 700m~ in like a week). I'm so jelly of you're range, I still have a ways to go for 100k D; but I shall reach my goal! >:O
and yeah, I agree with you about the NL's play style, they're awesome and no other class really compares to them for me (not to say they aren't fun or anything). I am, however, looking forward to hayato, he seems really cool plus he yells out random japanese attack names! "YOSOUSEN!"

My current goals:
-Hit 1 mil per QT
-Once I have the money get a 100+ attack claw
-Get 100 Ambition (currently 57)
-Get 100% Crit Rate

Not so concerned about leveling right now, working to get stronger without leveling keeps me playing.

These have always been my goals:
- Get to 200
- Kill all bosses at least once
- Get strong enough to solo major bosses without spending $$$
- And when I've reached every goal I could possibly think of, I'm gonna finish all quests there is
I've had this char since 2009 and since I take a break a lot for long periods of time, finding regular people to kill bosses is a challenge for me. However, it's a good thing I enjoy merching or else I wouldn't bother having to relearn prices each time I come back. I stopped playing MS for a year and a half and loaned most of what i have including my 5billion chair collection to a rl friend who then "got hacked". I got back about 6 months ago with nothing but a stripped NL, 25 white scrolls and 100k mesos. I've been merching my butt off since then and today, I'm 10k short from my 100k range goal! Right now, I'm only focused on merching and leveling up link skill mules but when I do get to 100k, I will set more goals for my NL. Btw +1 for this thread. Imo, NL play style is a lot more more challenging than most classes. It's nice to see that there are still others out there who remain loyal to their NLs and set long term goals like I do .

Mmm, I can't wait to get a (permanent) Beryl Heart from the Xenon Hot Time (hope it's a Hot Day in gMS), and perfect it.

I still need maxed Willpower, and would like to reach 100% Status Resistance when they revamp Cygnus classes.

100% Critical Rate would be nice as well, and still trying to get % Boss Damage Inner Ability from Aswan before they revamp it.

Most of this will be goals for the future. I've met almost every goal i wanted to achieve with the current game limitations (no hyper skills/unlimited). I got my most recent one achieved a couple days ago, which was 13,000 luk.

Goals for the future:

-Kill Normal Mode magnus post attack scheme change (This will be after hyper skills most likely, if not, unlimited)
-Kill hard mode magnus with a group of people (Way, way later)
-15,000+ luk (Probably post additional options)
-2m max range range [b]without[/b] AB link skill (I'm probably pretty close now but I can't really tell)
-Level 250
-70% boss damage potential on secondary weapon when they come out (And 200%+ boss damage combined)
-21%+ luk on unlimited ring when it comes out
-Make a 63 attack lidium heart if we ever get permanent versions from gachapon in GMS
-Under 20 second zakum solo (Post hyper skills)
-25+ heal cycles on empress (Post hyper skills)
-100% status resistance (Post KoC revamp, currently at 84%)
-100% critical rate (Currently at 90%. This goal will instantly be met upon the release of hyper skills)
-100% ignore defense combined (This is probably not going to happen unless i get a combination of 70% boss and ignore defense on my secondary weapons potential, or additional potential. I currently have 85%)
-11 star all 3 of my tyrant equips (can't be done until they update it)
-Xenon/demon avenger/hayato/KoC link skill mules (Already have 2 level 120 cygnus knights, 3 to go)

If this thread somehow manages to stay alive, I will update the goal list if I have any more to add or achieve them.

My goal atm is trying to hit max on all bosses except Hilla and RA ones. Once I do that maybe go for a 150k range or so.

@LazyLotad yeah I feel ya man, I love to boss, and it's also my favorite part of maple as well (aside from the friends anyways). To be honest killing every boss is probably one of my goals as well (though not the highest priority right now because of how crazy powerful some of them are). In regards to the goal about your claw, the people who laugh at that haven't ever tried scrolling their own claw, it's really easy to own a claw with 100+ atk if you just buy it, but it's not as satisfying as making your claw yourself and having it turn out nicely, Even assuming you had a 71 atk claw clean, you still need to get 29 extra atk from scrolls to break that 100 atk barrier, which is by no means easy (especially now). Anyways good luck, I'm sure if you work at it, you'll get that dream claw and be bossin' like a pro!

@MotionZero Old school, eh? 7 years is a long time. Yeah I agree with you, increasing your range is really awesome, (although it takes forever and it's boring as hell unless you're shelling out tons of $$). It's nice that you have pretty high ambitions and want to hit max on normal mobs, I personally don't think I'll ever reach that point, but hey I can't see into the future.

@Business funds don't matter, you'll get damage eventually through just playing or working at it, it takes time and it's boring but you'll get there.

@darksin1204 damn, seems like you've been puttin' in that GOOD work. always nice to see somebody actually going for their goals. Also more power to you for not spending nx, it's really not worth and just best to save yourself the frustration/money and buy all your gears.

Hmm, ive reached a lot of my goals since ive been playing, and have made many new ones . I started this NL after my last acc got hacked in 2008 (i had a hermit lvl 80ish on my last acc that i started in 2006). When i started maple again, my goal was to be become rich and solo zak. I spent a lot of NX and time merching. I remember in 2009/2010, I would buy 10 attk wgs for 7-8k nx in mts and resell for 300-400m . One time, i bought 50k nx and made my first 2.1b ;D. My first time i solo'd zak was around 2009 and it took me an hr with a 15k range.
After i finished these goals here, my next goal was to perfect a claw and start funding myself. I crafted a timeless lampion (back in the day when killing pb was nearly impossible) by spending 1.5b on just the rock of times. Then i bought 50% and white scrolls for 300-400m (for both) and then scrolling my claw. Once gm scrolls came out, i spent a whole bunch of time buying those and hunting for them, but i only managed to obtain 2 :c. I probably finished my claw around 2010/2011 with 116 attk and 30% boss, 6% attk, and 6% accuracy. I probably spent close to 7b (excluding nx for cubing) on this claw, but i was happy when i finsihed it ;o. After i finsihed this claw, i had a 25-26k range .
When the NL revamp came out, i decided i would go solo horntail. I bought energizers and apples, and i had a self-buffed range of like 30-35k. It took me 1hr to solo horntail, but i accomplished it . Then my next goal was Czak.
I kept funding myself by merching and using events, and when i reached a 50-55k range, i managed to solo czak (by using alt+enter and heros will). It took me 1hr and 20 minutes and i did this in 2012.
Now, my goal is to solo pink bean, cht, and v2 of empress. Im also aiming to reach a 100k range. I currently have a 60-75k range, and i continue to merch (though ive slowed down a lot now). I dont spend any more nx (I've spent nearly $800 on this acc), and i just slowly work to build up my range. I managed to obtain 2.3b + a few more items im trying to sell, and imma try to get some more %luck ;D. Well thats my ms life story (i guess). Gl to you .

Those are some fine goals, I remember getting to 200 on my Night lord (started playing this game back when cygnus knights first came out) I was so happy to finally be done training and be able to focus on the game's other aspects (I personally hate grinding but I had some great friends that made it worth while!). Good luck with your claw man, I hope it works out for you, I know it can be a real pain to scroll things now that there are no more white scrolls and money is a bit hard to come by. As far as merching tips go and making mesos, I'm still pretty new to merching myself, as I just started doing it only a week or so ago. However I have learned a few things so far, it's mostly about learning the general prices on things and being patient. It's good to try and merch things that everyone needs or will buy (for example chaos scrolls). Don't be afraid to try and turn a profit on items if you KNOW you can sell it for more. It's good to try and search around the fm and see what most people sell things for to learn prices of items. Really you just need to be patient. It's a test of endurance and your ability be afk for extremely long periods of time F5! Anyways good luck man I wish you the best with all your endeavors and I hoped this helped.
