Right now, you can take advantage of the glitch with the "can you resist" quest. Get the statue from Cassandra, sell it to the store, forfeit the quest, and repeat. Once you have 10 in the store, re-buy the statues so you can get 10 coins every 30 minutes.

Getting trophies helps get coins too. Do Gaga's rock-paper-scissors quest.

EDIT: Disregard the first method, only the first 3 statues give coins

I guess you could do the can you resist quest..you can get coins from it 3 times and its 1 each time so there's 3 coins plus the daily events and gaga's rock paper scissor event also gives coins
