Returnign to Ms, also trying something new?

After leaving MS in 2010 to pursue a career in DotA2 (twitter/diversedota). I'm coming back to play again. I just walked out on playing Dota professionally as it's too hard for Australians to break through.

Anyways. I was thinking of playing two accounts, one normal account and one account that has no player interaction (i.e. no trading, no party quests). The only interaction is if I HAVE to trade in order to progress (not sure if there is such thing).

I have no idea what is happening in MS, but I have a fair idea about new classes up to Kaiser. What server would you recommend me to play? A big server like Scania/Bera, or a 'newer' server.

Possible uploading videos on my progress on my non-player interaction account.
Why not try League? it's easier than DOTA although it has very different play styles, ur mechanics and positioning and stuff like that will be very useful in league. There are a few League pros that came from DOTA. Not too many, but a few. To add on to that, Oceania League is booming after the oceania server was created. Oceania is having competitions everywhere (NZ & AUS).
Reached ELO of Platinum within a month and Diamond two weeks after, still didn't interest me at all, sadly. The prize pool on low tier SEA tournaments are still larger than the high tier LoL tournaments in Australia, so it's pretty obvious I'd choose DotA over LoL. Also to add on, been playing Dota since 07, so it's been too long (imo) for me to switch over to another MOBA.

@Raginroxas
Basil also seems to be dead, used to be extremely populated last time I played. Also, I played both pre-bb and post-bb. I don't really plan to spend money at all on MS, right not I'm having second thoughts of making a return.

Ehhhhh maplestory has changed drastically since you last played. The p2w aspect of the game increased 10x in 2012 and they have made changes to fix that utter failure but the damage is already done. There are plenty of new classes such as Kaiser, Eunwol, Phantom, etc..as well as the newly revamped adventurers and Knights of Cygnus. If you havent played since 2010 (before big bang) then im sad to say that 95% of Victoria islands maps are gone as well as Hidden Streets. If you plan on bossing your only options are to be the best merch possible, or throw tons of money at nexons to cube your items, your pick. if you do plan on going back i would recommend Scania since its the only server thats well populated and has a some what cheap economy. Good Luck.

Isn't it hard to make money here? There's barley an audience for ms, unless you're in korea or japan
Seems like there are a LOT of new classes and items to get my head around . I do have a fair bit of friends in both Windia and Scania, but I'll probably end up relying on them for funds and what not. I might just play on an adventurer. Right now, I'm wanting to join a fairly big guild that is family orientated.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Yeah no problem. A nice thing about adventurers is that you can purchase job changing coins to change to another sub class within a class. So Corsairs can turn into Buccaneers, Spearman can change into Heroes, etc. If you have any questions on prices for any old items feel free to ask me.
Scania is crowded but doesn't have the best of people. I enjoy going to Bera. Windia has a lot of wanna bes. It does look like you have some old items that could be considered rare so it may be easier to start back off in Windia. Past the Kaiser release, there has been a revamp to the adventurer class, Cyg revamp, Xenon, Zero, Beast Tamer, Shade, and probably a few more classes that I haven't named. I would just look at them all in the charecter select screen. A lot of new gear is out as well.
