Working on this piece

So I'm working on this song for my piano lessons.

This one

The piece is not that hard to play*, but to play it at full speed without too many flaws is just insane.
Especially the chromatic part... Can't manage to nail that, lol.

Any tips of seasoned players ?

EDIT: *That came out a bit wrong, I don't know that the piece is easy to play, I mean that it is not that hard to learn the whole thing on a decent speed. But to play it how it should be played, on full speed and with all the emotion, is just simply impossible..
My Goal for now is just to be able to play it in a decent way
Sorry if this caused a misunderstanding, haha!
Oh cool! How long have you been playing.
Aah, I see now. It is quite a hard piece, though.
I've been playing for approximately 9~10 years now. And I mostly play 1~2 hours a day, at weekdays, and in the weekends ussually a bit more.
It is indeed a very hard piece, I've already nailed the first part of the piece, but it's getting harder with every measure ;p
Right now, I'm taking an hour to nail a couple of measures hehe ;p

But I do think it's worth it

EDIT: @Teaing Thanks for your reply The 'The song is not too hard to play' part of my first post, came out a bit wrong. I mean that it's not that hard to learn all the notes, play it at slower speed, but to play it how it should be played is impossible. Especially with all the dynamics and indeed emotion. Sorry if that made you misunderstood me, because I don't think it's an easy song at all, I'm having a lot of troubles with it!
Make a few hours a few years haha! But I think the time I spent on it is worth it. It's a piece which I really love and I really want to play it, no matter how long it takes.
I actually don't mean only the chromatic part, but the part starting from there, from there it's getting harder and harder by every measure ;p

Reading my thread starting post again, I see that I wrote it way too quickly, and didn't say exactly what I wanted to say ;s Sorry for that, hehe.

Once again, thanks for your reply. Do you happen to have any very usefull tips while learning the song?
I'm actually an Jazz pianist, but to learn the real technics of playing piano I've always been studying classical work as well. Czerny and Bach are binding and those are ussualy the only componist I play pieces of. But then my teacher said that I should be working on my technics a bit more and asked me to choose any work of any componist I'd like to play and I came up with La campanella.
The way it has to be played will be impossible for me, the coming 50 years, but I do think that I can play it on slower speed and with some flaws

So you're right about it, that I don't actually have to play it for lessons, but I came up with it myself and now my teacher does expect me to work on it, so it's a 50/50 hehe
Keep your hands loose and don't stiffen up with the octave jumps.

OT: I doubt you're doing it for piano lessons. The piece was thought unplayable for years by some of the worlds best pianists.
