Memory leak?
So is the memory leak still a thing? I keep getting massive about 4 minuite lag spikes then my game runs smoothly after said spikes, then i will encounter another spike followed by a "hack reason" dc
@Chibsy: Guess i'm wrong. I've been on MS forums and i haven't heard a complain about memory leak. It's mostly login issues.
It's pretty obvious that you're wrong, hun.
Its probably the usual game lag/spikes that nexon doesnt want to admit and fix.
@QuackOutLoud: my memory usage still spikes up to 1.6gb+ which in return makes my cpu usage go high 80-99%.
yes I have tried, and I even tried reformatting my whole computer before.
I would think my computer which has i5, 8gb of ram, ssd, and AMD r9 280x 3gb video card would have no issues. All my other games run fine at max fps with no drops or issues. It is clearly on Nexon's end. A lot of people are still having memory leak issue.
So what exactly is the problem you're having?
What deleting the folder did for me was stop Maple from using 2mil K of memory to 600k-1mil.
lf you're having "You have been disconnected from the login server", it's completely unrelated, and everyone is having that problem because of Nexon's servers.
@Chibsy: Did you re-install maple again after removing it?
yes I have tried, and I even tried reformatting my whole computer before.
@GazimoEnthra: "Nexon has no idea what they're doing, they made you remove a completely unrelated folder." Is what i was refereeing too. Nexon updated their Black Cipher. All we had to do was to remove the guard or re-install maple. Memory leak ppl are having is their own fault because of their laptops/computers. Some can't handle ms. All you do on here is bash on Nexon for any reason you can find.
its very sad I think the memory isn't fixed and it has blend with new bug
Edit: (correct me if I'm wrong)
@AbsymalTorment: Yes yes i am. You can pay that much for a computer but it could have a bad graphics card. You wouldn't be able to play some games.
@GazimoEnthra You are looking into this too much. I don't want to start a fight but it seems like you do. So go on. Bash on me all you want. That's all you do on here it seems.
"Oh man, somebody told me I'm wrong, these insults, I can't handle them!"
@AbsymalTorment: Mine is worse and i can play just fine. It's your computer.
Its Nexon's optimization. My computers perfectly fine.

I have a GTX 670. Yea man its really bad!
@AbsymalTorment: He's very clearly ignorant.
"The problem doesn't affect me so I don't believe in it"

Oh please. If you're saying that my $1200 PC can't play this game than I really don't know what to say to you.
@SANbounty: Thanks for confirming that you're ignorant. The majority of players do not even have said folder, but it's nice of you to really show that you weren't aware of that.
@SANbounty: You're right, the memory leaks people are still having are imaginary.
So basically theres no reason for the folder nexon guard to exist ?
You have no idea what you are talking about.
Removing that folder did nothing for me. I still have memory leak problems. Luckily I have another computer which works fine to play on.
So it all lies in nexon guard?
Of course memory leaks are still a thing. Nexon has no idea what they're doing, they made you remove a completely unrelated folder.
lol memory leak doesn't have to do with server connections and problems; it has to do with Maplestory using 2GB of memory for no reason.
Go to your C drive and delete Nexon Guard if you haven't already, and don't worry, everyone is experiencing lag spikes and disconnects.
@mushmeme: He's kidding dude hahaha
yes the memory leak is the reason to your lag spikes make a new account immediately
What do you mean make a new account.
yes the memory leak is the reason to your lag spikes make a new account immediately
