@PandaPoet: yep. those were my opinions and i am damn well entitled to them. If you think that old school maple had better gameplay then we currently do, its your opinion.

No flying around. Boss fights were much more simple. (spam attack & pots) compared to know where you gotta dodge and use more tactics. Wasn't a strong difficulty aside from grinding to level up. those are examples.
what do you mean flying around lol? tbh it feels like all i'm doing even right now is is just spamming skills on bosses and occasionally potting, with the decisive factor being how much damage i can do within the time limit
To be honest, playing on a Pizza Slice that has v62, the gameplay feels a lot more natural, and the equips are more easy to understand and get higher level gear with it. Scrolls are expensive, white scrolls are expensive, and clean slates are too. There was no cubes, there was no potential system, there was nothing to help you scroll. The game was not at the degree of p2w it was when potential came out, it isn't as bad now, but it takes forever to play f2p and even then it isn't as superior as paying to win, you still pay for convenience, and getting funded playing the actual game itself is really difficult. I mean, you have like a 10% chance for a cube to drop from a boss you can do twice a day, on like 5 bosses. And then, you can buy 5 cubes PER MONTH through bossing.
The game is still obviously pay 2 win. but i find the gameplay now much more enjoying then it was before
Nope. preBB was hell. Only good thing was the nostalgia i had with friends and the community. The gameplay was honestly mediocre compared to now. Although, atleast back then the servers were decent and there wasnt a weekly server maintenance..
