Secondary Equip vs Shield for Mages
Ok so I am wondering what better for my BaM: a timeless prelude shield scrolled (level 120 shield +5 int 60 wep df and 110 m def) or a Maximizer ball (level 100 secondary +10 int +10 luk 3 m.atk and whatever pot I can get on it)

Shields are better since you can use them for almost any mage class if you get bored of one and want to main another.
@YoPurple: nah, i wasn't trying to start anything, i just tend to answer in the same tone that i'm quoting.
but yea, a shield is miles better since it can be scrolled for more attk/m.attk, and has the same potentials as a ball, but the shield can be traded to all your other mages.
Do you want the little bit of def the sheild gives you? Or the increase in range that the ball would give you?
Its obvious which one is better lol...
The shields are able to have far more matk and int. 27 matk on mines.

indeed, it's quite obvious.
the shield is miles better.
Shields are better, but more costly. They can get the same potential lines as a secondary weapon now, plus they have slots, meaning you can scroll them for atk / m.atk.
The scroll for shields for magic attack are pretty rare lately.
Shields if u have the money, second weapons if you dont. Shields also have better resale value.
So secondaries are the better bang for your buck but shields are better but really expensive?
