Minecraft SMP server test
Ive tried set up a minecraft server for the people on basil to play. I dont know what the connection and server will actually be like for other players thats why i need some people to come try help out by joining the server. Its a very basic server at the moment because most server mods are not yet compatible with the minecraft beta.
The IP is located on my youtube page in the channel description (i cant post it here sorry):

The server is not always going to be online keep checking back on my youtube page and if the server is up the IP will appear in my channel description.
THE RESULT:
Okay so for most people its rather laggy since im hosting from the UK. But if anyone would be able to set up a server on a good connection and would need help doing so send me a message i have quite a bit of experience with minecraft servers and portforwarding.

Well considering it says SMP in the thread name i was expecting people who already have SMP to help. You dont have to use ports i just copied and pasted. And the server is fine ive had people join all ports needed are opened stop saying these things before you even try join.
Maybe you should mention that you need to buy the game in order to try it out, also, don't you just have to input the IP w/o the ports?
What kind of server software do you use and have you remembered to open the ports in your router?
