@asione
It is very important that you give more information on your situation.

What job are you, if your Basil avatar is not your main character?
What is item you are talking about for the regular potential?
Do you have %attack on your bonus potentials already? In other words, what level of damage are you trying to reach?

I think that you should consider what you want. Mostly, the %boss/%att debate should not be focused on what you should cube to, but what you should recube. It still has much significance if you do not hit cap damage.

Please look at the math for yourself and if you need help, I could help when I am not busy(,bored out of my mind willing enough to do math for a stranger).

Keep the 21% attack. You can get % boss from nebulites, link skills, fafnir weapon, and set effects.

@ArchM0onL: I agree, if you land a pot that you're happy with, keep it, and cube it later if you want something else. But if you're in a situation where you need to choose between two pots, then I'd decide through use of a formula over hearsay any day.
I disagree, the damage formula is relevant and should be used, especially if you're going to go through the effort to determine what's better. Many people on basil, from my observations, underrate boss damage because it's easy to get from other sources, which I believe to be wrong. I wouldn't make decisions based on speculation, especially when my money, or time has been involved.
If you really go through the math, you will find the differences are like 2%~3%, which really doesn't worth wasting cubes to tweak. I would say keep whatever decent lines unless your boss atk ratio is like 400% boss/0%atk.

I'm eventually cubing all my weapon stuff for %attack since my set effects and skills take care of a good amount of pdr and boss already.
That's what I'm doing though. You should get more input before choosing.

Ps. Sup squad!

21% atk. You can get %boss elsewhere in set effects and such.

Forget the damage formula. There are too few sources of %atk and %boss to make a significant difference. As long as you have a good number of both, you're good to go.
There are excel spreadsheets which show the ratio between your %atk and %boss and which one will benefit you more but honestly, the difference is miniscule and not worth worrying about.

I think the formula is something like this (someone correct me if I'm wrong): [100+(%boss)+(%total damage)] / [100+(%atk)]= X % boss = to 1% atk.

Plug in your numbers into the above formula to work out what's better. From the info you've given us, we can't determine what's better for you. Also depends on whether you boss/interested in bossing, or if you're trying to hit higher on all mobs, etc.
