Full screen help?

I usually play in window mode because of the black sides on full screen.
Anyone know how to fix this? :x

ATI/AMD:
Right-click on your Desktop >> Go to AMD VISION Engine Control Center >> Click on the "My Digital Flat-Panels" drop-down menu on the side >> Go to "Properties (Digital Flat-Panel)" >> Under Image Scaling, check off "Enable GPU scaling" and select "Scale image to full panel size" >> Apply

or if you have an older version and didn't update:
Right-click on your Desktop >> Go to ATI Catalyst(TM) Control Center >>Click on the drop down menu and go to "Desktops and Displays" >>Right-Click on the monitor you want to setup for MS and go to "Configure..." >> Under Attributes, check off "Enable GPU scaling" and select "Scale image to full panel size" >> Apply and ok

NVIDIA:
Right-click on your Desktop >> NVIDIA Control Panel >> Go to "Display" >> "Change flat panel scaling" >> Select the monitor you wish to setup for MS >> Under "2. When using a resolution lower than my display's native resolution...", select "Use NVIDIA scaling"

Intel:
Right-click on your Desktop >> Graphic options... >> Panel fit >> Scale Fullscreen.
You needa go back to an old computer because maplestory runs in an 800x600 resolution and depending on your computer resolution the bars will be there or not, no way to fix it
The black bars depends on how you set your graphic card settings to scale full screen applications. You do not need to go back to an old computer to do so.
What are you guys talking about? o.o This is the easiest way to do it. Start up maple. Go on your character. Click system, system options, and there should be by the top like 800x 1600 or something selected. Pick the other choice, click accept or whatever, and viola! It's all better.
The reason why this doesn't work is because no matter what resolution your set it to in MS (800x600 or 1024x768), the Aspect Ratio of MS will still be 4:3, while his monitor is still 16:10 or 16:9. This is what causes the bars on the site. Like I stated above, you need to make your computer ignore the AR of the game and fully scale/stretch the game across the screen.

If for some reason you don't have that option, you may also be able to do it by uninstalling your current graphic driver and installing the latest driver for it. Chances are, the default settings of the driver will have it enable.

I think it depends on what your processor is.

For mine it's:
Right Click on Desktop>Graphic Options>Panel Fit>Full Screen
