How can you lock your account?

If you use a special letter like, §, the server doesn't recognize it so no one can log on until the password is changed. I heard you can't do this anymore. Is there another way to prevent everyone from logging on, or locking the account?

Thanks, exactly what im looking for. But when it says login with hotspot shield, do you log on once and press okay or is there something else? because it says "keep pressing okay" as if it is referring to pressing okay to many things, rather than 1 message.
