Cyber monday or black friday?

I'm going to start building my new pc in a few weeks. I want to try to get some good deals from cyber monday or black friday. My #1 priority right now is getting a good deal on a case. I was wondering, how does cyber monday work? This is my first time. Do the deals come on on like at 12 AM and then I buy stuff before the deals run out? Does the stock inventory on an item run out fast on cyber monday? how should I prepare for it? Should I go to black friday or just take advantage off of cyber monday? I need some thoughts and feedback on this and if you can please tell me how I should prepare for cyber monday. I don't want to go to black friday because the good computer part stores are like 30 minutes-1 hour away from here, so I want to try to stick with cyber monday if it's possible. However, if cyber monday isn't worth it I'll go to a black firday store.

~Thanks.
As long as it's complete (all the innards, like the drive cage(s) if it has them, the case speaker and all the front panel connecting cables), and is physically intact, there's not much to go wrong with a used case. Be sure to inspect it for cosmetic damage like dents and scratches of course.

The front panel switches and the USB/front panel audio connectors are something that would be difficult to check out if the innards have been removed, and they're something that can sometimes break or go bad in use, so you might want to see if the seller will agree to take it back if you discover any problems in that area.
Kay thanks. This helps a lot.

I found a used antec dark fleet-85 full tower on a craigslist ad FOR 70 BUCKS! Would I have any luck with these used cases?

Find a store and predetermine what you want. Then, set up a tent (if they'll let you, if not just kind of 'wait') outside the store the day before in front of the door, but not blocking it. Drink some coffee and get ready

Despite the deals on Black Friday/Cyber Monday being more numerous, they aren't necessarily better than deals during other times of the year. For example, the cheapest Radeon HD 6870 I have ever seen was for $140 w/ MIR at Amazon on September 30th. Right now, Newegg has several active case deals.

At $100, this is the cheapest I have seen the Phantom in several months. Despite NZXT's frequent promotions, the last time the Phantom was $110 was during this past summer and was $100 during November of last year. However, take note that Amazon has currently price-matched the Lexa S.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?nm_mc=AFC-TechBargains&cm_mmc=AFC-TechBargains-_-NA-_-NA-_-NA&Item=N82E16811139008 Meh

All three of these will no longer have the discount after the 13th.

Hmmm... I am not buying popular items, but I can understand other computer enthusiasts are looking for great deals too. I might go to black friday to this computer store. Really, I just want a case for a good deal on black friday, if other parts don't have a dramatic offer off.

There is a limited supply on everything. Two years ago, Newegg had a $160 netbook on Black Friday and was sold out in ~20 minutes after midnight PST before the storefront actually locked out the excess orders. Those who placed an order, but did not get the netbook were sent an apologetic email.

Retailers during Black Friday/Cyber Monday mostly grant deals on consumer items, which unsurprisingly sell out the fastest. Enthusiast items will usually make it through the day, but the deals aren't really that good. Don't be surprised (or do be) if the best thing that may interest you is a fat MIR-discounted GTX 550 Ti or reasonable discount on DDR3 RAM kits.

ya i know. But do you know about newegg's cybermonday deals or blackfriday deals if they have any? How was it last year if you know. Should I wait until 12 AM monday to order the things I want on cybermonday? How quickly do I need to act on cybermonday when it hits 12 AM, will the items go out fast? I need to know someone with experience from last year's cybermonday/blackfriday on newegg.

You just have to check out the places you want to buy stuff from ahead of time and try to find out how their specific sales work.
Not all places do things the same way, and not every place will have the same kinds of conditions.
They may have plenty of stock, or they might just put a few items on sale as a "come-on" to get you into the "store". You need to find out ahead of time if you can whether the items you're interested in will be available all day, or just for a certain number of hours (or minutes).
It takes some planning if you really want to get into it.

Another thing- once you buy what you need, turn the computer off and go do something else.
Don't keep looking at other sites or pages because you'll =always= find a better deal than the one you bought and it'll just make you feel bad.
And don't wait for a better deal to come along because you'll miss all of them that way.
There's no way to be absolutely sure you're getting the best deal, just find the one that "feels good", buy it, and forget about all the others.
Both days are great, there are also deals on newegg and several places as well. yes deal come on 12am and its first come first serve
if you wait until it is 12 AM to buy things, do you think i have a good chance of getting things or no? Do they have a short stock on the items?
