The Unsweetened Truth I've been smoking cigarettes for about two months: about 3 or 4 cigarettes a day. That's not that bad but still. I am 19 years old and a freshman in college. Every time "The Unsweetened Truth" ad comes up on basil, I just close it. But today, I actually watched the video and ended up watching all of the videos on the website about people that have cancer because of smoking. Watching these videos makes me want to quit smoking because I'm worried about my health and I really don't want to get cancer. How do I stop smoking though? Even the smallest amount of stress makes me want to smoke. And because I'm in college with two exams every week, I'm stressed all the time. I think my best bet will be to quit in 3 wee

We dont have the money So, I have been a student at a University in North Carolina for the past two years with an undecided major. I am supposed to be taking this semester and next semester off because my family can not afford it. Right now, I am living in an apartment in my university's town, working full time and watching all of my friends go to class. It's really frightening me -- my friends are getting closer and closer to graduating and I know that they are going to be gone before I finish because I am having to hold off on school. I miss school so much. And I know that sounds silly. Who misses school? Anyways, I have been thinking of a way to for me to go to school without paying $12,000 a year. I barely get any financial aid because

Theist, Atheist or Agnostic Basil, what do you consider yourself? Theist, Atheist or Agnostic? Theist being someone that believes in a higher power. Atheist being someone that does not believe in a higher power. Agnostic being someone that believes there is not sufficient knowledge in the world to believe in or disprove the possibility of there being a higher power. I am personally agnostic. I went to church for 16 years. When I turned 16, my parents didn't force me to go to church anymore. They let me make my own decisions. Being a constant thinker, I always pondered our existence -- why we were here and who put us here? My rationalization is that there is not enough evidence to prove or disprove a higher being, so I chose agnosticism. Wha

2d Mmorpg Genre Dying? Has anyone else noticed the lack of 2D MMORPGs entering the market? It is near none. I believe the very last one to enter was Eden Eternal. I am worried about this because 2D games are virtually all my computer can handle, and because of that, I am stuck playing MapleStory. Has anyone, at all, heard of any new 2D titles that have recently come out or are coming out? One that has my eye is made by Gpotato (I know, the publisher sucks) and it's called Eternal Blade. I'm excited for it. It's supposed to be out sometime this year. Eternal Blade

Apostrophes and Possession. I really can't stand when people throw apostrophes around and don't know how to use them. For example, and this is taken directly from a fellow basil member's post: "Who else see's an exploit here?" Why is there an apostrophe in sees? An apostrophe shows possession, except in the case of contractions. The apostrophe shows possession to the word that follows. So here, the word "see" shows possession over "an". So basically, you can say "see has an an" to see if your statement makes sense. In this case, it does not. How can see have an an? The correct sentence should be "Who else sees an exploit here?" To make sure your apostrophes are correct, you can always do thi
