What are things you miss you about maplestory pre big bang

Henesys hunting ground was one of my favorites, traveling to orbis just to make a guild but dying on the way there by balrogs, and ludi maze pq, how about you guys?

HHG1. Nothing else. I liked HHG1 for the sake of hanging out with friends.
Everything else was boring, slow, REALLY SLOW. like imagine yourself back in the day. Training 1-30 would take a week unless you really put effort into it. I remember training mages from level 1 to 30 in Ant Tunnel, It would take me around 6~7 hours. Really terrible. And imagine back then.. Only NL and Mages had FJ skills. I can't even imagine going back to these days, FJless. everything would be too slow.

I miss Mushmom KS wars... any island boss KS wars actually. Tracking them and trying to kill them before other trackers come.

[quote=silverfoxr]You... are talking about pre-BB Maple, right? Where you couldn't take a step into a map without the person in it screaming "CC plz!" over and over, then calling their Bishop friend to spam Genesis until you left. Or the nightmare that was Coolie Zombies, Mixed Golems, Jesters and so-on? Oh yeah... SO much co-operation in the community.

Heck, I remember back in those days, I had a Hunter who was low on arrows before 2nd job. Every time I saw a person, I asked them if they could kindly give me the arrows they may have picked up in their inventory, so refill my waning ammunition supply. After all, they couldn't do anything but toss them if they picked any up. I met a sin (oh boy, were THEY such the nicest people pre-BB -_-') who gave me a ton of attitude when I asked, saying something like "Do I LOOK like I have any arrows?" and defamed me the moment I said "Well, if you picked any up while training..."

Oh, I remember pre-BB Maple... trust me, it was not the nice place people remember it.

Here's a few more highlights I remember from the "good old days":
[Fighter] Hi! I'm looking to join a party. Are you interested?
[Cleric] U got HB?
[Fighter] No, I'm a Fighter... Spearmen have HB!
[Cleric] CC nub! J00 sux!

[Spearman] Hi guys. You want to party?
[Other] Is that a POLE ARM?
[Spearman] Yeah. I like pole arms more, so I went pure PA
[Other] Pure PA? AHAHAHAHAH! YOU SUCK! CC weak n00b!

[Cleric] Look out! *throws Magic Claw*
[Party] WTF U DOIN?
[Cleric] I... helped kill the monster.
[Party] U no atk! You Heal, Bless and HB or LEAVE
[Cleric] My buffs are all cast and you all have full health.
[Party] n00b! Cleric SUX at atk! Do your job!
[Cleric] I AM doing my job... doesn't mean I can't attack
[Party] @#$%ing n00b! *party defames cleric and dispells them from party*

Oh yes... the "good old days" indeed.[/quote]

I rarely EVER had those sorts of interactions. The first year or two of playing was when I'd make friends daily. People went out of their way constantly to help me. What game DOESN'T have that negativity to it, though?

I personally liked the old leveling system...not having everyone at a high lvl was nice

You felt more attached to your class...now I can start any class and be 200 in a day or 2

[quote=whatthejew]Not much to be honest, I just miss when we use to have fun. Now it's all about the grind.[/quote]

Err if by grind you mean leveling then I would say it was way more about the grind before than it is now considering it could take up to a week back then to hit 30 and now it takes less than a day to hit 150. I'm gonna assume you're referring to the "meso-making grind" though.

OT: I miss everything about old school maple, I have my nostalgia goggles on 99.9% of the time lmao.

I miss knowing that Maplestory was the best you could get in the genre of mmorpg. Now, though, there are so many others to choose from that playibg maplestory means you can't play the other, better mmorpgs.

The huge boss runs. Soloing and killing Zakum in 10 seconds still feels weird to me o.o
