I personally have the new MacBook with retina, but I would recommend getting the Dell if you have important programs or games on your current PC (assuming it's not an iMac) that you wish to use or play on the laptop. That way, compatibility won't be an issue and you'll save more in the long run. Of course you could always run Windows on Mac, but you'd need to pay for the ISO file. In that case, I would stick to Windows.

Side note: if you buy a MacBook bring your student ID to get a $100 discount and a free pair of Beats solo 2

I got the new MacBook and I recommend it especially if you have an iPhone/iPad/etc. It's great for college and just get parallels + a windows key and you can play Maplestory. LoL has a Mac version and Netflix runs the same as any other computer.

I'd go with Dell
I own the mac pro 13 and gaming is kind of a bust because installing a separate os+maple+other games ate up a substantial amount of space (I have 512gb). switching from windows to mcintosh is a pain in the neck as well, so if you want to play maple you'd basically only have access to maple and your browser and not your files or anything else that'd be on mcintosh. it'd just be more cost effective to get a dell, however I side with mac in every other category

Netflix without chill? Man im so sorry.
OT: Macbooks and gaming dont really go hand and hand. Sure it works but it can be a bit more complicated.

Dell since running MS won't be a total pain
Imo can get more value with PC so just get a Dell

Both are pretty much the same in design. Cost: Macbook 13" Longevity: Dell XPS 13" Bias: Dell
