when you friend someone does it still show on the home page of facebook for your other friends to see or have they changed it to your timeline only?

it shows up sometimes in your news feed, and 100% of the time on your live feed on the left.
Sometimes on the upper right list of things people are doing you'll see it but I don't think it shows other than that.
i added a bunch of people at once like 2 years ago and people got mad and said i was spamming
