Holy crap, guys, I just figured out maintenances.
Ok, now this is going to sound generalized, but I might be onto something.

They're all on the same day! One obvious reason is that they're adding Credit Cards to the Payment options, but DFO is getting a sizable patch, and Maple gets a little content. Mabi & PopTag end a couple events, but besides that, nobody else gets anything! Holy crap! Nexon actually synchronizes their updates!
Idk, just thought that was cool.

You couldn't be more wrong. These weekly checks are to clean the server of all the coffee and sugar spilt in them over the past week.

All the games may run on the same set of servers, so it makes sense to synchronize the times when they turn the servers off to work on them.
Also, since it happens in the middle of the night, they'd want their people to do it all at the same time so they don't have to pay them to come in at midnight several times.
Wow i didn't know that, for some reason it never occurred to be to look at other games that i have no interest in and see what going on.

The circumstance you just described is how I came upon this find. I wanted to work on my Slayer

There are some times, however, that you can access one nexon game and you can't access another.
