Tell us a game you've spent the MOST amount of money on, but it turned out to be a crap-fest.
Mine:
Spent $5 on Star Wars Battlefront 2 back in the day (2007), and I to this day love that game to bits.
I spent $80 (Limited edition) on Naughty Bear when it came out a couple of years ago because it looked so fun. I was wrong...Oh lord was I wrong.

Well I have played video games since 2006 but I have less than 20 to this day I think.
I got them for gifts a lot too.
I don't know.
Least but enjoyed - Mass Effect 1 - $10.
Least but hated - Final Fantasy 13 - $5.
Least money, most enjoyment: probably Hotline Miami for $2.50
Most money, least enjoyment: No More Heroes. Bought it when it was still new, because the fanboys kept insisting that it was one of the few good games for the Wii.
$0 on Halo 3. I got the game for free when I bought an XBox 360. I had some great times on that game.
$60 on Black Ops. Some of my friends convinced me to get it for the PS3. COD is not what I look for in shooters. Too easy to kill and too easy to die and the higher level you are the more perks you get which doesn't seem fair to me. Shooters should mostly be about skill over anything.
Cheap and awesome - Binding of Isaac. Put over 130 hours into it so far, fantastic game.
Expensive but crap - Skyrim collectors edition. Bethesda dialed everything down to make the game more accessible for casuals and small children. The modding community helps make the game more tolerable, but a polished turd is still a turd. And for people who own the console version, they're SOL.
I think I paid 7$ for Oblivion. One of my favorite video games of all time.
Most I paid is definitely maplestory.
@BarrelTap Do gifts count as least amount of money spent? Because when I was younger my dad gave me Front Mission 3 as a gift. I had never heard of it, but boy did I love that game. It's the game that got me into turn based strategy games and I still play it from time to time since I still own an original playstation. I'd say over the years I've clocked in over 200 hours replaying through the game multiple times.
But, if that doesn't count, since I didn't buy it myself, then hands down best game I've played for the money spent was Grandia on the original playstation. I bought it for $30 a bit after it came out, back in '99 and I've played this game to death. One play through takes around 50 hours going through it at an average pace, and I've played through it at least 6 or 7 times since I bought it, so 300+ hours lol. One of my favorite games of all time... and now I have the urge to go play through it again lol.
As for games I spent a lot on, but ended up being crap... I'd have to say Sonic the Hedgehog (the 2006 game). It's not so much that it was crap, it was decent enough, but it was quite a let down considering it was the first Next Gen Sonic game, immediately after Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 were so awesome. So for my $60 for a brand new game it felt a bit... underwhelming.
Spent $20 on Borderlands Game of the Year Edition and loved it.
Spent $50 on New Super Mario Bros Wii and hated it, I was young and carelessly spending my moneys.
80 Microsoft points for Mount Your Friends.
Don't know a game I've spent enough money on and sucks enough to be here.
My answer is kind of the opposite of your question.
I have spent $5 on Aliens : Colonel Marines, fully knowing that it was going to be terrible and I was correct. It was just a crapfest of a game I just couldn't believe a company spent their precious time creating it.
I have spent $60 on The Last of Us and I love it. It was worth every penny and to this day, when I rarely play my PS3, I don't regret it.
Least amount - Psychonauts or Binding of Isaac; fun as women's breasts <3
Most/least enjoyed - Not sure; I never really buy all my games, and I've enjoyed pretty much all of them.
$0 for Faerie Solitaire, became my first 100% Steam Achievments completed game.
$80 for Monster Hunter Tri + Wii Classic Controller Pro. MH3 just wasn't my cup of tea. However, I still use the Classic Controller Pro for other Wii games...so I guess it kinda makes up for it.
5 Euro for Torchlight 2, awesome game
60euro for Collectors FF xiv a realm reborn.. Quit it after a month..
I hardly spent anything on Maplestory but I really like it.
Spent quite a bit on League but I don't like it. At that time I thought I did but now I just really hate it.
10,- for Far Cry 1
Though it was gonna be straight forward shooter, but turns out to be a game with lots of fun and great possibilities.
50,- Street Fighter VI
What a plain boring fighting game it was. Can't see why people pick this game over many other better fighting games like BlazBlue.
$0 Tomb raider for PS1. Amazing
$120 collectors edition uncharted 3 for ps3. Didn't even finish it. Pile of junk.
The complete opposite of uncharted 2 (the best game ever to have graced the Earth)
Least + Loved: The Sims 3
Most + Crappy: Electronic Banking Monopoly, the paper money version is so much better.
5 bucks for mirrors edge and loved it (can't wait for the reboot wooooowooooo)
60 bucks for gta v - it's not a bad game but i fell under the hype and realized it's not my cup of tea
I spent too much on maple
League of Legends, spent $0 and its still fun.
Tbh I got no "LEAST" amount of money game because I've enjoyed mostly every game.
As for most money on... Maplestory. Regret it ever since.
Least amount of money on, and loved it: Phantasy Star Universe
Most amount of money on, and crap-fest: MapleStory
