Can Marksmen still break the damage cap?
I know this is a weird question but can Marksmen still break the damage cap? I heard Piercing Arrow did 1.2m damage but so far I haven't seen it. My friend broke it once some time ago (But I never saw the actual damage) and I'm just wondering if Pierce can still do that.

Still hitting the damage cap on a 6-hit PA?

The latest revamp changed it to 6 hits.

6 x 999,999 = 5,999,994 dmg to the first mob. While 5 x 999,999 = 4,999,995 dmg to the first mob. Assuming you hit the cap of course. 6 hits is 999,999 more than 5 hits.
Also, that video [b]does[/b] show 6 hit Pierce.

so far i did 2.4mil damage 3 lined with pierce, and i still do over the cap with DB too. i'll test my piercing arrow another time and make a video for you guys.

I can hit over cap with my Pierce so yes.
first monster is 999999, then 999999*1.2 then 999999*1.2^2 then 999999*1.2^3 and so on.
that is if you hit cap on first monster lol. and it does show the whole number like 1199999 for monster 2
Since pierce now hits 8 monsters 3 times. and if you are UBER funded that you would hit all 999999 3 times on the first monster
then you would hit the 8th monster 3583177.22, three times for roughly 10.7 mil damage on the final monster

I believe it shows a number over 999,999.

It shows the broken damage cap. (i.e. 1.2mil damage)
There is a video on a phantom with piercing arrow and it breaks damage cap a lot.
Think its still on basil.

Heh, good to see MMs also have pride! Pierce can go past the cap provided you are funded, but a recap of my thoughts from the other thread mentioning pierce already;
"It will prove to be a lot more efficient with mobbing, decrease in dmg does not mean its any weaker of a mobbing skill. The output is more than it was previously as a single hit on monsters within the mob we attack. Marksmen do not need AFA, but it would be a welcoming addition. This MM forum you speak of would most likely have more of a fan base than BMs, as many have given up on being strong and having fun mutually and decide to hold threads about comparisons over which job in the class is superior.
