anybody ever have any luck on craigslist?

Besides buying that is, I've tried selling so many times, and only once have I succeeded in selling, and only because it was a 4th gen iPod touch, and I included an adapter, $15 earbuds and sold it cheap, even then it wasn't fast or easy, most of the time I only get people trying to scam me.

Well figures the only guy expressing interest in Fire Emblem Awakening won't pony up to a fair price, and I've been offering a fair price since the same day the game that had been lost for 5 weeks came back to me, said he could get it on ebay for $20 or less and offered some case for an iPhone 5 (probably a really cheap one, besides I need cash)
I use craigslist a lot, especially for college textbooks. I buy them cheap over there and sell them at the end of the semester. I also bought a 3DS game from there once and sold my ipod touch 5th gen for $200. It's good if you know how to use it. I live in Miami so there are tons of people there. If you don't have luck, maybe it's because you don't live in a very populated place or that no one wants your things. Also, people will try to scam you on your prices. I know for my ipod touch 5th gen, people were texting me for $110, I just ignored them and kept waiting.
when I was selling my 8gb 4th gen iPod touch, I really wanted $100 w/o extras as I got like 110 for a 3rd gen 8gb the year before, dropped to 90 and then some idiot tried offering 80 at the last minute as the back was scratched (I've never had one that wasn't as I never bought brand new, and wasn't going to let him get away at 80 at the last minute for a cosmetic issue not even relating to the screen), I offered to go 85, he would budge, so I let him walk and sold it 2 days later with unneeded extras for 90, I probably woulda got 95 (I found a few extra extras lying around since the person I eventually sold it to first expressed interest) if my family didn't see it fit to but in on the deal and accept 90, but I accepted the 90 and was happy to have it sold and not to the guy complaining about a cosmetic issue you never see. And wow from 200 to 110 is quite a drop
uhh buying a car from somebody is the worst simply because the sale is a as is sale.
i know sooo many people who didn't take the car to the mechanic and they cried for days on end.
yeah i never took mine to mechanics. i've bought 3.

the last car i bought was my convertible for $2350. didn't realize the 2nd gear synchros were out, but that's okay. needs a new front wheel bearing. doesn't always crank the first time. but the top/seals are decent enough not to leak!

i bought a used car from a dealer and so far the only problems are things i were aware of when i bought it, all related to rust. paid A LOT more that i should've though. i guess it's kinda worth it not having problems all the time. it also had very low miles (38k in a 13 year old car) when i bought it.

i would have problems selling cars because i'm too honest.
most of them were fine, but one of my first buyers (i think i was selling?) never met me where we agreed to meet, and i didn't have his number. rookie mistake. and if you're buying cars, be sure to check out the title before you hand them any cash! the guy i bought rockband from showed me it worked in his house.
You gotta learn how to talk. For example, I talk like a ghetto ass person buying and selling on Craigslist.
ex:
person: so how much u finna sell dem shoes tho
me: $150
person: o hell naw u finna try to scam people tho
me: naw bruh dem shoe hella cheap at dis price watchu talkin bout
person: gimme fo $75 tho
me: naw im cool
then i hang up
then they call back and want to buy for $150
meet up and it ended up being a chinese guy trying to haggle with my black ass.

Craigslist is always better as a buyer, as a seller it really sucks, I'm trying to get rid of some games locally, and I don't even have anybody interested in Fire Emblem Awakening, even though my price is really fair, this is the game the USPS lost for 5 weeks, so I'm hoping to sell locally as I already lost shipping and fees once, can't even relist on eBay as local only due to a bug.

I've sold some soccer cleats and jerseys. It's rarely fast or easy, though, and most contacts result in dead ends.
