Sony

should I get a ps4 on black Friday?

So I worked many hours last week, pretty close to almost the same amount of hours this week and I was wondering should I get a ps4, im not much into online gaming these days so I would either do local multi-player or single player modes, the thing is I have a decent Sony LCD and hdmi cable, but I just haven't been able to stand buying a game on ps3/Xbox 360 to beat it in a few weeks time and see the price plummet below half of what I paid which was fair or cheap to begin with. im into a variety of games really, but mostly shooters, RPGs and an occasional non-super realistic racing game, if I do get one I plan on getting an extra controller (also on sale on black Friday ) and a few games (I would probably stick to around ~$30 maximum per game )
what games would you suggest ? ive already played AC 1-3 (none of the other ones yet), mass effect series, and occasionally COD (i forget which ones)
RPG:
Oblivion/Skyrim (these two alone were about a year of casual, sometimes daily gaming)
Final Fantasy(s)
Little Big Planet 1-3
The Last of Us
Borderlands 1/2
Resistance Series
and if you want to get a little extra weeby, Ni no Kuni, the Atelier series, and Hyperdimension Neptunia series

There are still dozens more you could get, but these are the only ones off the top of my head that I've personally played.
There are plenty of older, cheap RPGs for the ps3 which I'm just sure you haven't played yet. I'd do that instead, unless you really want your new toy. Well, at least that's how it is for me.
Honestly, if you're planning on getting one anyways, Black Friday (or Cyber Monday if you want to save being trampled and order online) would probably be a good time. Boxing Day would also be a good time if you want to wait.

Personally, I'm planning to pick up one for Christmas as I feel that there's enough games out (and coming out) that I can get it's value out of the console. Games I want to look into that are already out include:
-inFamous: Second Son
-Lords of the Fallen
-Littlebigplanet 3

And those will hold me until March when Bloodborne comes out (which I SO want to play).

Also, I have been considering upgrading GTAV to PS4, since your data can be transferred to the updated versions... but I'm not sure yet.

There's not much out for either xbone or ps4. And most of the games that are out aren't even that great. Only games I'd buy would be future games and the new CoD.
Wii U is really the only thing that actually has anything good going for it at the moment. Especially since SSB4 comes out in approximately 9 minutes as of now lol. Plenty of incredible games on it right now but if you're just into FPS/racing and the sort, you may not like the selection.

I plan on nabbing a ps4 on black friday but main reason I'm buying it is for the Blu Ray player until something like FFXV or Mirror's Edge 2 comes out. It's not gonna get nearly the love and attention that my Wii U will though lol

It'll be worth it with time

tbh i'd rather get the wii u bundle with SSB and the other mario game. i have a ps4 though. i'm not a fan of shooters, except for GTA, if you consider that something like halo or CoD. the only game i play on my PS4 is nba 2k

Not enough good games are out for the PS4 and the ones that are good are not gonna be $30 =/
