Nexon's player abuse!

I am making this thread to show you maplers what nexon is capable of and do not offer it to the entire maplestory community.
I am also making this to show you the abuse nexon has caused me with their actions.

WARNING A LOT OF TEXT

About a week ago i thought i had been hacked since i got kicked off the server while sitting in my shop and upon entering the game i found my player in the middle of a house in hene with some of my items missing. i was sure i had been hacked and i blamed my friend who had asked me about the specific stolen items just a day before. I blamed my friend for hacking my account and stealing my items in a ticket i wrote to nexon the following was their reply:
Greetings Mapler,

Thank you for contacting Nexon America Customer Support. I apologize for the delay in responding to your ticket.

I understand that you are stating that your account was compromised which resulted to the loss of your Tyrant Cape and Tyrant Boots. I appreciate you reached us to further secure your account.

After further investigation, our record indicate that these items you have mentioned were stolen from another account. This being said, we reserve the right to remove them from your character since they are ill-gotten. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Should you have any concerns, do not hesitate to let me know.

Thank you for your patience.

i replayed and calmed that these items were received from an old friend who quit the game via trade. i also told them i spend nx using psoks on these items this was their response:

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

I understand you are claiming that these items were given to you. However, these are stolen items and we have to remove them from your account. I understand as well that you have spent Nx points to transfer these items to your account, unfortunately, we cannot provide you compensation due to the incident that happened. I know this is not the answer you expected and I am sorry for it.

Should you have any follow up questions or concerns, please let me know.

The items were NOT stolen and nexon did not even bother leaving a note that they had payed a "visit" to my account...
So guys what do i do? i asked them for a phone call or a live chat with the responsible people but they haven't replayed yet, what do you think i should do?

TLDR: nexon accused me of stealing items which were given to me then entered my account and removed them without telling me.

oh man this is cash. so now when hackers steal and sell your stuff, 2 innocent people get screwed over instead of 1. LOL i love this. wonder which tier 1 university nexon hires out of to find geniuses like this

If your items really were stolen originally, than your friend committed conversion; they exercised ownership rights over property not owned. Unfortunately this means that because you did not "purchase" the items you do not have a claim to them. If you had bought them without the knowledge they were stolen or without being given reasonable suspicion that the transaction was unlawful, then you would be considered a good faith purchaser and would be entitled to compensation. In this situation, a case could be made that you did in fact exchange something for the equips --psoc-- in the real world this could be considered a transaction cost and in some cases it can be recovered; however there is very little chance that you'l be able to recover the items themselves. You'll have to look over the terms of service and research "conversion" to make your own argument.

They did their job. They can track the history of your items far before they were even yours. Don't think they just randomly assumed they messed up. There are a lot of things you might not know or realize. The item could have been duped or stolen from another account. The person who "gave" them to you might have reported them missing. Just because you see it one way, it doesn't mean there isn't another side.

This happened to my boyfriend a while ago. He traded his cane for an lgr. And then a few hrs later, he got kicked off and someone logged onto his account. He live chatted nexon support bout it and they also said "It was stolen, so it had to be removed" We both assumed the lgr must have been duped for them to remove it without notification. So maybe your tyrants were duped.

Though, he sent a couple of tickets complaining. And finally a head GM (which was Artasi) looked into it and decided that they would give the cane back to him for compensation. I mean you didn't trade them for anything, so I don't know if you can get any compensation for your case. Sorry

its the same as real life man... if you buy a stolen car even if you dont know it was stolen, police will take it and give it back to the original owner, so no abuse pal. and yea, you dont own your account, nexon does

Those items may not be directly stolen by you, but that doesnt mean they arent stolen ones.

When Nexon restores the stolen items to a player, the other ones get deleted in order not to have them two sets of them in the game. This also prevents people from abusing this system.

Anyways Nexon has never given a warning when deleting items, let it be duped/exploited/stolen ones. IMO they should be giving one though.

You're just unlucky, anything you buy or receive from someone has the potential to be obtained through dishonest means. We are all affected by this when we buy things from FM as well since we don't know if the stuff we buy are stolen, duped, or legit. Sorry for your loss though.

@crispychream: it is player abuse look it up... small acts like what they have done have caused me to get in a fight with a friend, get expelled from my guild, need to make a new skype account, reformat my computer and more all because i thought i had been hacked.

Either your friend changed his mind about quitting, or he had bought stolen goods and then passed them onto you. Or your friend stole the items himself. The possibilities are endless.
