yeah that's correct I guess. Not really cerulean, more of a lighter shade of blue+purple ([url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Periwinkle_%28color%29]periwinkle[/url]). As for where black is coming from, it looks brown/gold in the picture right? People are interpreting it as black, which makes sense because of the lightings and stuff. Actual dress is blue and black anyways. I can also see why people see it as gold if it's a dark kind of gold.
What I don't get is how people are seeing the blue as white. It doesn't look anywhere close to white.

Are you seeing a white dress AND a white background in the original? Blue dress and black/blue background in the inverted?

Black and Blue. Tried squinting my eyes like suggested, still black and blue.

Looks like a white gold dress in shading that makes it look blue and gold. I don't know where the black is coming from, but I just see a bluish and gold dress, probably white irl, but that contradicts the apparent true colours which are blue and black.

If you change the lighting its gonna not reflect the same way
