You ever have that feeling?

When you want to give up your class (with everything you worked on it: gears, leveling, time, and resources) just to make a new job because you feel like you have no desire suddenly? How do you shake that feeling?

Like the others said, just make another class, preferably one with a good link skill. If you end up liking it more than your current main, maybe it's a sign you should switch. Personally, I always go back to my main because I like the playstyle.

As an Aran, I ask this of myself every day.
But, even though I sometimes wish I had main'd a different class, like pally/DrK or bowmaster, I realized that what Aran had going for it was the fact that his attacking, back then, required constant buttom mashing which also required you to be somewhat active in your gameplay, unlike those other classes where you just hold down the key.
Lucky for me, I took advantage of the fact that Maple had all those extra character slot chances way back then so I was able to make quite a few classes for me to test out., my highest being Shade at 150 only because I wanted to get that tradeable ring.

Make every link skill possible.
It's refreshing to get to 120 on a new char time to time but I've finally run out of slots. I'm missing my 5th Cygnus.
I think it's enjoyable to just play classes from 1-120. I dont' like to dwell too much on the 1-3rd jobs, but I do enjoy them when I get to them.

I end up missing my main after a while anyways.

Make other classes for fun but don't fund them too much?

Yes, but after I go to another character I want to play hayato 10 minutes afterward.

I became more attached to my avatar, so even when my class was lackluster, I never found other classes remotely interesting.

You do have multiple character slots for a reason. Occasionally, you do just get that class you can no longer play and enjoy...(happened to me with 3 different warriors).
Just try something completely different for a while! If you're not liking melee, try range, if you don't like highly mobile classes, try a slow(er) heavy hitter.

Yes and in the past I've went from class to class until I found a class that satisfied my playing style. Personally now I would never quit my main because aside of sunken costs I wouldn't have the time to level </3

Pro tip for now a days: Pick an adventurer class branch that you are fond of and if you get bored of a class open job advance to another class. The only cost would be getting a new weapon/ secondary (maybe recubing if you chose to make a pirate but if anything just stray away from sair and stick to canoneer/ bucc) .

Realize the amount of money you have to spend.
Mesos? Convert to Dollars.
10$ to change main? Sure.
1000$ to change main? Nahh.

Honestly, just take a break. Whether its a couple days or a few weeks, it works like a charm for me every time. I only really play if I have a strong desire. If not, go out and experience some new stuff!
make and play the other class then realize starting over is too daunting and not an option but still play anyway until you get to like 150 or miss ur class then return.
I literally just went through that two days ago.

Sounds like you're playing a game you don't even enjoy.

Why are you torturing yourself.
