Ngs hacking detected
Everytime I log in I dc right after i type in my PIC or right after i get into game. How do I fix it and is it happening to anyone else or just me? I really want to play ms ):

well i tried this ^ but it didnt work for me sadly still have the same problem that OP reported o.o
*Update: I was able to log on and pass from the insert pic screen on Khaini but 1 minute later i got d/c and never again was i able to get in the game... -.-
Alright guys, if you are having this problem, here is what you do to fix it... it worked for me!
1. Open Maplestory from the GameLauncher.exe, which can be located in your maplestory folder, just drag it on to your desktop.
2. First, you'll want to right click the GameLauncher.exe and select Properties once you've dragged it onto your desktop. You will then click on the Compatibility tab and go down to Privilege level and check (Run this program as an administrator).
3. Go into your Maplestory folder, select and drag (eTracer.aes) to your desktop.
4. Restart your computer fully, and then like I said before, run Maplestory from your Desktop, by clicking on GameLauncher.

This works for me. Related forum post with a program that ends the process for you that I'm labeling as a temporary solution until Nexon Fixes it themselves.

when you run maplestory and nexon shield thingy comes up go into task manager and end process the blackcfs or whatever and the error wont pop up
Installing the hackshield and blackcipher patches worked.... one time. Then after opening MS agin NGS hacking detected wss back.
Reinstall the game then install the hackshield and blackcipher patches [url=http://maplestory.nexon.net/support/game-download]here[/url].
It worked for me.
I re-installed the game and there was no NexonGuard folder. A friend of mine (who didn't experience the issues) uploaded his entire MapleStory folder on Dropbox and I haven't had any problem since.
So my guess is that the issue is within the MapleStory folder.

Lol, reinstalling maple did NOT help for me either... don't waste your time reinstalling guys

Haha, if it's not crashing, d/cing, or the login servers being down, it's this issue. </3
Sigh... looks like it's not just me, has anyone found a solution to this yet? I just want to play some hardcore MapleStory!
the reason its happening is because what happens is when nexon started using a new layer to protect against hacking called blackcipher, it wasent ready to be used. it comes with a nasty memory leak that if unattended to, will cause the blackcipher.aes to crash itself and because the blackcipher program isnt running it thinks your trying to hack. so then in turn maplestory itself closes

This i tried also, it's getting annoying just want to play maple. Hope they fix this TODAY
It's weird, because at least on Scania all channels are half-full, meaning there are people who are not bothered by this. But it seems to be a very relevant issue today.
I have the same issue.
I've been at it for hours trying to solve this issue. All I can say for certain is that the problem is within the BlackCipher folder, as the anti-hacking program is reacting on itself. I've turned off everything that's network based and everything that could or would have reason to interfere with Maplestory. I still get the error. I found many different BlackCipher issues online and tried all the possibilties to no avail. I tried rebooting, reinstalling, nexon launcher, steam... I am not sure what else I can try. The one thing I've done that let me stay on for about twice the time it would otherwise was when I removed the file eTracer.aes from the main Maplestory folder. Apparently BlackCipher just recreates a new version of it upon start-up.
If anyone has any other idea of what can help, please let me know! I am prepared to try anything to solve this stupid riddle.
Having the same issue. Started after everything went down after 2x. So far I tried manually patching my black cipher and hack-shield, and it had no effect, just in case any of you haven't yet and I can save you a few minutes. Trying to install through the Nexon launcher now to see if that works. I'll let you guys know if it does.
