"What are you going to do after school?"

The question that scares most teenagers, the question that is so difficult for some to figure out, and even haunts some of us. It is THE question that will decide the rest of your life.

"What are you going to do after school".

So I ask you basil, what are you going to do after high school? What are you going to do after post secondary education? Where do you plan on living, the big city, or the middle of nowhere? Any life goals?

I guess I'll start. I'm in grade 12 right now. I plan on going to Vancouver to go to school at a culinary school. Moving from my hometown of 13 thousand 6 hours northeast of Vancouver, it will be an awesome time. I haven't decided if I'm going to go right after school or stay home for a year working full-time to save up a bit so I can actually have a decent place to stay and not too much debt. School will be 15 grand for 6 months. I'm hoping to be able to find a good job in Vancouver once I'm done with school because I'm not the type of person who can handle this small town lifestyle, I need some stuff to do. I would absolutely love to open up my own restaurant and maybe have a kid or 2 down the road. Not sure.

So, what about you?

I'm only 13 but I want to study music once I get into university (if I make it in). If not, I might try and get some piano students and a part-time job.

It is a difficult question indeed. I used to think I wanted to become a trucker because I love long road trips and whatnot but I realised that it would lead to a lonely life. Since I love to cook and my tv is on the cooking channel 24/7 why not go after something I already love.

It does look like there will be plenty of opportunity for me in Vancouver and I am very happy about that.

Thanks for the title change, the original looked better in my head.

P.s. Blame any spelling/grammar errors on my iTouch and stubby fingers.

That is one thing that has eluded me for quite some time. I will most likely be going to college since my grades will easily get me into the UC's (lolnothumble but Riverside and Merced have lower GPA acceptances at the moment). I don't know what I will major in. From what I hear, so many people want to be doctors without even considering post grad requirements and additional training.

Cool~ I'm from Vancouver ^^
I'm a first year at SFU and I'm not sure what I want to major in.. So I really don't have much of a clue about what I want to do after school.. Hopefully I figure it out before then...
Oh and good luck getting a good job here~ I hear a lot of restaurants hire students like you though, I'm not too sure.
Either way, good luck.

Move onto the next stage of my life, experience the good and bad moments of reality, along side with my special soul mate. For my profession, it'll just take time before i actually decide what i want to do. For now, ill just simple deal with school and see what life has in store for me as i move on.
