Status Resistance is additive.
My Level 10 Cygnus Knight Link (25%) + Level 75 Willpower (15%) + Passive Advanced Combo Ability (10%) + Active Advanced Combo Ability (50%) nets me complete status immunity. (Except for things that ignore it completely like Gollux and Magnus or basically anything that All-Cures or Heroes Will wouldnt be able to cure)
Right! And for Gollux stun you could wear a -2 Sec Abnormal Status set, such as Empress or get it as a potencial on either clothes or inner ability.
As guy above says, and its for everyone not just Arans. Ignored Defense and Abnormal Status Resistance are both multiplicative, which means you Ignore or Resist in proportion to what you didn't before. On the other hand, Criticals (rate, minimum and maximum), Boss Damage and Stance are all Summative, which gives them more accessibility as they increase in real proportion.
New defense ignore only ignores what you did not ignore previously. Try wrapping your head around that.
If you ignore 70% defense (and do not ignore 30% defense,) and gain a source of 30% defense ignore, you will ignore 30% of what you did not ignore.

Your new defense ignored will be 79%.

Its like the higher your PDR is the harder it is to make it higher.

No, it is multiplicative now. So it is harder to reach 90%+.
