should i stick with mages

just wanna know what you guys think I should do. I've been playing the mage class for years and it's the main class I focus on, but I feel like it's getting a bit dull and boring now. I've always thought about continuing my phantom, shad, ds, db, dk, aran or bm, since they're a few classes I've found the most fun. Is there an update other than the KoC Blaze Wizard revamp that'd make the mage class more exciting for me, or should I sell/trade my equips and finally explore a different class?

@Swaggerific:

The revamped Tb does look like quite the class . Most common percent str stuff is disgustingly inflated (given the high demand for kaisers/ hayatos/ demonslayers with their hypers revamp). But I'm sure now would be a good time to buy that godly knuckle/ % str pirate equips given buccs and cannoneers are the only two pirates that use pirate % str gears and the population of both seem rather scarce.

@Swaggerific:

If they make it anything like a wind archer or the new dawn warrior, I'm sure some people will start to prepare and in time % ints will slowly but surely rise. Luminous was the last large scale mage hype (kannas were more recent but luminous attracted much more short term % int price spikes). When luminous were released, one could trade off their % ints for attack equivalents/ % stat equivalents of other more in demand classes.

Being a former mage player myself and after having to self cube next to everything, I constantly used to switch around with mage characters because if I were to quit, I would have lost so much money invested given magic attack and % ints are always hard to sell and cheap on the market. Unless you are willing to take a huge loss (meaning your newly funded character will probably be worse off damage wise than the mage not because mages are stronger but because they can buy better equips for much cheaper than other classes) it's best to quit when mage equips are high in demand.

Switch when a new mage comes out/ a bandwagon occurs. Otherwise if you don't most mages end up getting forced into selling their equips for DIRT cheap prices (given lack of demand for the class)

usually what keeps me with a specific class is the fact that im e fully funded with luk eqps. It makes it very hard to switch. I have a fp mages that im working on but i cant seem to break away from my luk%. The point of the game is to have fun. Ive always thought of spending 6 months on a character then switching to a new one. Just so i try everything out and enjoy all aspects of the game.

Go for Phantom, playstyle is mix and match, whatever you want.

Also, he drives a car.
