Old mastery books
havent played in a while and I noticed that you can buy mastery 20/30 books from the potion shops now; so my question is whether the old mastery books sitting in my mules are useless or not

I suggest keeping the jett ones.
They are ALL glitched and all belong to skills that Jett never had, it's pretty cool for collectors item in the future.
Otherwise, it's all garbage.
% of succes, while you can pay your 5m to get a 100% one. from NPC even.

There'sa couple skillbooks that got glitched up like WH's arrow blast since the classes got revamped. but for many classes like cannon, mihile, kaiser, the books still work
Wasn't there a quest that you can turn in your old mastery books? Or was that only for a limited time...
Not completely. The ones for skills that still exist can still be used, but it won't be 100%.
