Is Maplestory worth coming back to?

Hi all,

I used to play Maple a really long time ago, I started in the beta days and stopped playing around 2 years ago when they released Kaiser I think? I just wanted some honest opinions on whether you all think Maple is worth returning too seeing the changes that have occurred in the past year or so.

Thanks for any opinions you all may have!

Yeah, to be quite honestly, I'm feeling REALLY overwhelmed with the amount of new content that's been added and I don't know if I should continue on my already made characters (I have a Sair, Pally, Hayato, Shadower) or to just entirely remake a new character and start from scratch. Any advice on what to do? What classes are strong with little to no funding and are good solo classes (I know literally nobody that plays this game now)?

Same situation as @bonz, but for me it's World of Tanks vs Maplestory. Definitely want to come back for omok and other mini games, but not sure about Maple itself.

Yeah, nexon's beginning to get better with some of their bad points

I was recently in your position like a few weeks ago and tbh i basically joined for nostalgic reasons. I was pretty impressed by how much maple has changed and was instantly hooked in playing again. Of course, im kind of getting overwhelmed by nexon but id say go for it, it will be fun!

Hmmm I think with this current patch, it's turning back to old maple a bit... Yet there's still the good things from the new updates and eunwol is an actual balanced new class... Come maple isn't going to get better lol

Well, the cap has increased. There is more to do now if you get bored of questing and some of the content. You can train (especially with the Summer Update, making training more interesting with runes and everything).

I guess so. Make sure to find an active guild or good friends.
It is a bit better than back then. it was 100% pure play to win.

Now it is more like 50-50. you just need to dedicate yourself a lot just to make it not pay2win though.... Now you can make your own cubes and stuff so...
Eh more like 80-20, odds on the not pay2win.
