buying a certified pre owned device
recently my phone has been freezing a lot from doing anything. would my phone qualify as "damaged"? i use verizon and their policy is that if your phone is damaged, lost, or stolen, you canto buy a certified pre owned device online without renewing your contract and without using an upgrade. i am willing to buy a cpo device but i'm not sure if my phone counts as damaged or how i can prove that it is damaged.

I don't think they'd consider that condition as being "damaged".
They're probably talking about being run over by an M-1 tank, or more realistically being put through the washing machine.
However, depending on how old it is, your phone should be covered by a warranty that should protect you against defects which this -does- sound like.
Unfortunately if it's older than the coverage period you may not have any recourse there.
Have you tried their tech support to see if there's any kind of software upgrade available that might help?
