About the patch

So I've tested this twice now; Maplestory stopped working at one point and because I didn't save a previous version of it, I had to delete it and use the v158 setup I saved on my USB.

After it finished setting up, I would let the auto-patcher do its job (and fail at it). It would say something about map.wz being corrupted. Okay. Then, I would run the manual patcher. I wait 5 minutes for the progress to still stop at Map.wz and then would end the task using Task Manager. After that, I used the hotfix patch and after just a little bit of wait, the map.wz made progress.

This has been tested on both Windows 8.1 and Windows 7. I hope this helps, even if this is a little late.

Process:
>Use gamelauncher.exe to allow auto-patch and wait for the corrupted "Map.wz"
>Use Manual patcher and wait 5 minutes to find that "Map.wz" won't progress
>Use Hotfix patch

I've tried doing manual patch before hotfix patch and it didn't work. So I think it needs to be in this particular order.

@boredtodeath555: I'm actually assuming it works xD

I'm currently away from my computer so I won't be able to say for sure until later today.

As for me, I used the manual patches. 157 -> 158 -> 159. I think the general problem is with patching from 158.2 to 159. When using autopatch, your client naturally goes to 158.2 then tries to patch to 159.

I assume that it worked for you then? You're welcome. At first I thought people found a way to patch maple, but with so little people on, I decided I should test this method again on another computer and see if I can help people myself.
