iphone 6 or plus
I'm thinking of getting the new iphone when it gets out. should i get the iphone plus for the show because i think iphone 6 is like the iphone 5color cheaper version. should i get the more expensive one for the sake of it?

LG G4 actually.
If you're going to spend the money upgrading you might as well go with the best, I'd go with the iPhone 6 Plus since it's technically the better of the two and worth more.
Wireless charging is gimmicky; inefficient and not even convenient.
And megapixels, especially beyond 5, is huge diminishing return; I really doubt you're going to professionally print those pictures, they'll most likely stay on IG and FB. 3.2MP is considered HD. Beyond that; you have to focus on lense quality, color accuracy, etc.
In what way is wireless charging gimmicky? It works exactly as it is supposed to. Inefficient I suppose I can give you as it is not as effective at charging as USB is. Convenient though is total bs. Everyone knows that wireless charging is more convenient, hints the reason why all you have to do is throw your phone on your charger and your done.
In terms of camera, beyond 5MP may have diminishing returns, unless you decide you need to zoom, which a lot people decide to do. With more megapixels you are able to crop a photo and still have the photo turn out well while showing a better focus on the object at hand. Point and case, look at the Lumia 1020. If you just take regular pictures its gigantic sensor isn't inherently better. However, if you decide to crop the picture afterwords and zoom in, these extra megapixels are incredibly helpful as it allows you to maintain the quality of the photo while being able to zoom in. Secondly, my argument never even in the first place stated megapixels, just that the iPhone should include something that hasn't been in the phones since two years ago when the iPhone 5 came out.
If you like big screens go for plus, but if you like smaller but big go for the 6. There is not much difference except the size.

Just putting that out there.

Apple stuff is pretty overpriced for what they are BUT they know what they're doing and the iPhone is a solid phone. It's aesthetically one of the nicest phones out there. Also, iOS is simple and very easy to use.
Drag yo buns to a Best Buy and check out the phone for yourself. It's pretty beefy and certainly not for everyone.
I like how a lot of people now-a-days associate Apple in such a negative way. Damn, there are so many brands in the world, let people buy what they want. You can stick with whatever "affordable" phone you want.
OT: I have an iPhone 4, it's gonna be 4 years old in October, so I'm pretty much long over due for an upgrade. I was thinking that because of the significantly better battery life on the 6 plus, I might choose that one, plus I have relatively big hands. I'll see though, I really need to hold the phone to know at this point. September 19 can't come any slower, and them Apple line-ups x_x.

Like, I don't understand you folks. Why get something that is almost exactly the same as what you already have? Do you have too much money or something?
There are some of the idiots who will buy things because of the brand name but others will buy it because they enjoy the experience better with iOS and Apple in general. It's the same for android and samsung. There are plenty of people who will buy and android phone because they were only told it is better than an iPhones and there are also people who buy android phones because they actually enjoy the experience better. I'm getting a new Iphone 6 plus because I'm tired of the screen size of my Iphone 5, have wanted NFC, a better camera, and nicer specs to run jailbreaking easily. I understand that android has had many of these things but I enjoy the integration of iPhones between other iPhones and tablets as well as the jailbreak community. Not trying to say android sucks but that there are different strokes for different folks.

muh megapixels totally improve the picture quality. Unless you mean 4k recording, then I agree
Sure, if you just want to go buy the more expensive iPrecious for the showing off and bragging rights and whatnot, go for it.
I'm a big android fan, but the iPhone 6 is a major improvement from the 5s. This doesn't have anything to do with the Apple brand (thought apple products have high resale value) The 6 fixes any negatives the old models had including: Lack of NFC, small screen size, lack of storage (although expandable would have been nice), low resolution (although QHD would have been nice)
I say do whatever you want more
@iTempo: Well, it's not like I'm unaware that people can have opinions that differ from mine. It wasn't even worth saying. It's like you quoted me just to quote me. And no, it's not anti-social. All in all I just found it dumb.
@MrPebble: me or him?

Jeez. OP is asking only about iPhones. Not any other phone.
@iTempo: I am calm. I just didn't see a point in you quoting me for no reason.

@iTempo: Then don't quote me for something unnecessary.
@iTempo: It doesn't need to be said.
@iTempo: I'm just saying. He can do w/e.
I might get the 6 plus. The old iPhone were too small and no NFC.
6S. pls
Not worth it tho.
but why
