I think Im too empathetic
I don't really feel any emotions besides empathy.
I'm not trying to be some edgy teen or anything, I've just felt completely indifferent about everything since around 9th grade, and it's gotten worse since graduating high school a few months ago.
What's also gotten worse is how I feel about other people. I used to be one of those idiots who could easily say 'I don't care' about anything and everyone. Recently though, I've been putting myself in other people's shoes whether I want to or not. No matter what someone does, I feel bad for them. I mean, unless it's a good thing of course.
Someone could cuss me out and then I imagine something like "Wow maybe ____ had a bad day." and immediately I imagine them getting yelled at by parents or cussed out or something.
I just completely rationalize any bad behavior anyone shows. I don't like it. I don't like not being able to dislike people.
I don't like being nice because I feel bad for people.
I don't like the fact that I only feel for other people, but not myself.
But I didn't create this thread to whine, honest.
I just wanna know if anyone else feels this way.
TLDR: I don't feel any emotion besides empathy, anyone else feel that way?

I was worried nobody would make a joke like this. Thanks. <3

This explains it perfectly for me.

In society, you won't last if you don't stand up for yourself and have confidence.
Empathy is good to have as a human being, to a certain extent.
Over-empathizing will lead to you being taken advantage of financially, emotionally, and maybe even physically.
Wow you must be so privileged. No body wants you and your empathy let alone does it mean ANYTHING TO THEM.
All you broke boys need a life. Srsly start worrying about yourself. I doubt you are that perceptive to other people's feelings.
Exactly this. Every time I see a new controversy over police violence for example, I immediately try to get both sides.
Even if one person is in the wrong and it's obvious, I start to feel bad for that person. I could actually imagine someone's childhood being painful as a reason why they become bad human beings.
Of course that doesn't mean I condone whatever they did, I just feel bad for them on a personal level. Corrupt cops are still terrible...but yeah.
Wow same :O. Thought I was the only one. I don't think that what you are thinking is a bad thing. However, I definitely think it can be overbearing. To care for oneself is hard enough. Yet, to think of others, if not everyone is even harder.
emotions are for the weak

I like to think that people all understand each other, they just choose to ignore it if it's inconvenient for them. Not everyone has time to deal with others I guess.
but thats a great thing bby
The people can burn and all I'll ask is what's for breakfast...
I wish a lot more people were more understanding of each other
altruistic behaviors are intrinsic but is slowly chipped away by socializing.
