Mutilating Small Animals for Recreation
I know this guy who's real nice, intelligent, cute, and funny. He seems to be a real normal guy. But, he likes to mutilate small animals like squirrels and birds. He skins their pelts off while they're alive and staples or tapes them to random things to make sculptures showing enslavement and bondage. I find it odd, but he thinks it's a perfectly normal hobby. Usually I don't go criticizing stuff like this, but we're working on a project together and he openly talks about his hobby a lot.
Is it a normal hobby?

Asking about wetting would be awkward. Besides his hobby and interests, he acts and talks like a normal.
As for pyromancy, I don't know. He does have a lighter on him most of the time, but I think that's for cigarettes.
In biology class, they made us pin/staple frogs in wood, then had use a scalpel to open it up and examine the lungs, while it's breathing.
Oh, and before that, we fed it fruit flies so we can examine the digestive process (we had to cut open its stomach).
This is a requirement to pass, and it was years ago. Still happening in that school btw.

Well he did say he wanted to make something of larger animals like goats, but it would be too hard for him to get a wild one as farm animals would cause suspicion.

sounds like a sociopath in the making. ask him if he wets his bed or has pyromaniac tendencies, as these are also signs of being a sociopath.

He doesn't talk about murdering people, just animals, except for that one time he told me about a dream (like one he had at night, not a goal) that involved him owning slaves and murdering them. I think that's a different subject, though.
He's slowly going to work his way up to murder.
