@FunkyFlame: I clicked on both. One simply didn't work, and the other led me to the site.

@Braviary: You clicked on the one that says "GameLauncher" and not MapleStory right? the Maplestory exe file in your maplestory folder leads you to website, GameLauncher should start the game right away. But yeah if it doesn't work reinstall

@joshua418 and @FunkyFlame: I tried it multiple times on the site, and it didn't work. For some reason, GameLauncher always leads me to the website.
I think I'm just going to reinstall, especially since there was a lot of old remnants and things of MapleStory that I might have accidentally confused for the current game.

You clicked play on the website? Just click it again, always works for me lol. OR Use GameLauncher.exe which is located in your maplestory folder. If this doesn't work reinstall. like above said.

what you can do is completely remove maple from your PC by going to control panel and remove it
and then check if the nexon folder is still there usually at local disk C once you have done that try to reinstall again
if you still got the error you can also do a system restore to a date when maple was doing fine.

Edit: I think you need to use the manual patch in other to fix the error. ( repatching)
