Games to play on Mac

I have the newest iMac, have for a while, and want to get into some kind of game. I'm into MMORPGs, typically ones I can play as an archer, but I'm looking at Amnesia and Outlast, I like first person horrors.

Recommendations?

Before you guys can say it, yeah, I know. Macs aren't ideal for gaming, but I just want a game that I can run and to keep me entertained. Doesn't have to be absolutely incredible. And free is preferable. I'm broke.

Go on Steam and look at all the Mac games they have.

Don't bother with the Bootcamp stuff. Download Steam and check out their huge list of games.

you can do your own research. There's a lot of top ten mmo of year lists on website and youtube.

Depends which iMac you have. The base models have integrated graphics, but the next one up ships with a GT 750M. If you make a partition for Windows 7 with the Bootcamp utility, there's probably a lot of games you could play.

I have a macbook. I just have my hard drive partitioned and Windows on one side with bootcamp for all of my gaming needs. Although SC2 seems to run a lot better on the Mac side for some reason.
I've used both. Parallels basically opened a windows desktop in a window on the mac, so it was running both windows and snow leopard(?) at the same time It was much more convenient to me because apple software tends to be better for some of the things I like doing, so I could have editing software open, but still be playing maple at the same time~ However, the system already sucks at playing games (lol) and to ask of it to play a game AND host two operating systems is a big task- you'll probably lag alot.
Bootcamp basically partitions your computer's memory and you can restart it in either windows or apple mode This is much better for playing games smoothly, but you need to restart every time you switch... it's all up to you really~ Convenience=parallels, less lag=bootcamp~

Also yeah definitely try mirrors edge... if you can get past the pipe on the first stage it's amazing >.< Took me like 8 hours to get this one stupid jump, but so worth it xD (It's not free I think but I got it on a free steam sale so I'm sure it's cheap~)
8 hours?... My god. o.o
I suggest boot camps. I've heard it works better than Parallels. Also, there's a bunch of games on Steam that work for Macs! If you're looking to pay for games, my favorites would be Bastoin, Batman Arkham City, and Mirror's Edge. If you're looking for some free games, Aura Kingdom has been getting lots of attention as well as Path of Exile.
Hahaha... ahahahahahaha... Mac.

Take a look through the catalog. There's a good mix of super-cheap and F2P things in there.

Use Windows Parallels. Its a program that puts a windows system in your MAC. You can use that to play games.
This should help you get Parallels.

If you don't want to use that, here you go.
