My second tattoo

After my first tattoo, which is for my grandparents that both passed away of cancer, I decided my second tattoo should have meaning to it as well. As for most of my tattoos I'll get. So, as I want to build my life around writing, I decided to get something to do with that. More than that, I wanted something for my sister, who passed away when I was very young. She would be 22 this past September, and I'm 18. She passed away when I was three. So, I got a quill, and this quill is writing her initials, J.B, Jessica Barr.

As for the pain and all that, it was an hour and a half long, and it really didn't bother me till an hour in, and he said it was time to finish off with the whites. That was just going over everything and adding the whites, quite obviously, but it was over my swollen, red skin, and it was quite brutal. Still very tolerable, however. I paid $100 for the tattoo, and I gave him an $80 tip. He's local, and I found him after seeing a friend's tattoos, she has a Tim Burton based sleeve on her leg.

Anyway, I really like the tattoo. Just thought I'd share.

@HiGuise: So scared by this haha. Yes I did. Just late.

Anyway, yeah, it's pretty big. I mentioned that, and he said if it was smaller, it would lose a lot of detail, and his style is like, sleeves, and he wants to work on my arm a lot. I'm booking an appointment with him soon, actually. The picture makes it look flat, but seeing something in person is an entirely different thing. It's not so flat. As for jobs, and whatnot, dress shirts cover all of it, the wrist included. So it works out.

I'm sort of against tattoos, but I'll admit that it looks nice.

@Wordilio: He's just very small and unknown, so he's humble and doesn't charge much. He just goes with your budget because he loves to tattoo.

Thanks for the compliments, it's very nice. I love the tattoo. It's going to be touched up when I go for my next piece, based off Wish You Were Here (by Pink Floyd.)

The guy did a good job and that is freaking cheap for what you got and how big it was ;-;
plssayyouliveinflorida.
No but srs. I like it a lot and I'm trying to find a decent place around where I live that is not the overpriced place that "everyone" gets theirs and has it turn out mediocre.

Only issues i have are that the quill looks blocky and thick and personally i wouldnt tattoo that part of my body because of jobs and stuff.
But it still looks good

Looks amazing! Good to see that it has meaning and isn't for "swag" or some other BS like that.
