Stick with ATampT or switch to another

Right now I'm with AT&T and about to upgrade to a data plan. However I'm considering switching to T-mobile for unlimited data and where I live (Washington state) they have good coverage. However I'd like to hear about actual customers experiences with them, primarily in regards to price, signal service, and customer service.

I know I can stick with AT&T and rely on wifi. My monthly bill would still come out to be more expensive than T-mobiles cheapest unlimited data with 2GB high speed and 500 minutes. So what are your experiences with T-mobile? If you use Sprint or another cell phone provider that has unlimited data how is it? I had verizon before and surprisingly I got more dropped calls than I do with AT&T.

Yeah. T-mobile say they have 4G but mostly it's 3G. Not necessarily bad since their 3G is rated highest compared to the others. Their 4G just isn't the top. I'm on the fence.
what phone do you currently have?
I've been wanting to switch from ATT too, but I don't want to sacrifice my iphone..
I'm just using a dumbphone for now. With the upcoming holidays I finally gave in to considering a data plan. If you've had that iPhone for at least 2 years you should be eligible to get an unlock code from ATT so you can bring it to another carrier. However if you just got it (say you just got the IP5), I'm not sure how that would work. Most likely you're locked in to the contract and if you want to early terminate the agreement you have to pay the full $325 - $10/month on contract.
