Why? Because to people whose main character is their buccaneer, the pirate revamp delay is discouraging. They endured their last months of school and suffered through their final exams with the pirate / thief revamp to come. One can argue that they should just get on with their "real life" or "enjoy the other events," and I'm sure they do. However, that still does not mask their disappointment.

I personally have not touched my buccaneer since Justic patch. Don't get me wrong... I loved (and still do love) my bucc. However, with all the other classes substantially stronger than buccs by a longshot, it's just not fun to play atm. Even though my bucc is not my main, I still get frustrated at Nexon for delaying this revamp without so much as a reason why. Bucc revamp was supposed to come before Jett, Phantom, Chryst, and this new patch coming up w/e it is (idrc).

*sigh* but oh well. My rant will do nothing. Nexon isn't that horrible as a company in general. They are providing us with tons of new content at a pretty rapid pace and I don't regret the money spent on this game. @Lunakid: Yes. I don't really think they'd do that on purpose, intentionally planting glitches into the game. I think that they either put it in early to prepare for the revamp, accidentally creating glitches, or they accidentally implemented the new code along with the thief one, when they weren't planning to until later.

@Implacable: I think you may be misunderstanding me. I do realize that glitches would typically follow a mistake like that. The point is, that mistake - releasing the skill codes for pirates along with those of thieves - was not expected in the first place. I don't think they intentionally created these problems; I don't think anyone does. The pirate revamp was probably already planned for the end of summer. I really don't think they're going to change their plans just because a few classes are glitched (as horrible as that sounds, it isn't strange coming from Nexon). Not to mention, there are already signs of Nexon trying to counter the glitches (I can distribute SP now).

The chain of gMS following the patch pattern of kMS was already broken when Jetts were released; I would have expected players to stop thinking that gMS would follow kMS as closely after that.

@Implacable: Well, then they're dragging out the release of Jett aren't they? My problem is that players keep assuming things like gMS is a complete copy of kMS, which has, of course, been disproved by the class Jett, and a number of other things. And I don't understand that logic: glitches aren't completely guaranteed if gMS doesn't follow kMS. Nor should people make guesses at the behaviour of Nexon. If they were anticipating glitches, they wouldn't have this problem. Players have come to assume things about gMS that are untrue, when assumptions shouldn't have been made in the first place.

Kinda funny how when the revamp was first announced, the forums were flooded with threads wanting the revamp to be scrapped or at least changed. Now people want it more than ever. And as others have said, people probably wouldn't be as upset if we didn't rabidly follow EVERY SINGLE MOVE KMS MAKES.

I will be glad when they release it just so pirates will stop asking for it <3.

@Implacable: Not in my opinion. We play gMS and we play it with its individual content. I don't think that gMS being closely related to kMS is very relevant to the situation at hand. The revamp could have arrived a couple of months ago, or maybe it could come a year later. Regardless, Nexon has some kind of reason for delaying it. They could have any number of reasons. It's not of their account that gMS players have deluded themselves into thinking that it was going to come sooner.

@Lunakid: Well, the glitches are obviously a problem, but it isn't a reason to bring the revamp sooner in Nexon's mind. Nexon evidently believed for some reason inconceivable to gMS players that pirates didn't need a revamp until now.

Nexon's just stalling with these half-ass answers.

I never said I was entitled to anything. I don't hate the game, I hate the company behind the game. I play for friends and guildies, whats it to you?

Thinking objectively, we wouldn't even know if a pirate revamp was coming unless we read about kMS (which evidently, a lot of us do). I don't think setting expectations for Nexon releasing the revamp early is reasonable at all. They can present it whenever they want.

You can still be one of the slowest, most underrated classes in GMS. But it's good that you can always join in with your friends on the fun. I'm still here as well since my friends still play and make this game enjoyable as well. I think it's time for a break though, I could care less about Azwan and inner ability at the most.
