Are NLs Non-existent?

Hello Basil Community. I'm just wondering why there has been such a huge drop in NL's and Sins in General. I understand that the new classes came out, but NL's seem to be non-existent now. Just like my WH. I expected to at least see some NL's, but I haven't seen many in the past few days.

I understand there have been some threads about this, but will NL's be expecting a revamp anytime soon which might boost our popularity? I enjoy playing my Hermit, who is level 98 right now, (been lazy to train) and it makes me a bit sad to see no other Assassins running around. I quite enjoy playing a scarce class though, but I'd like to see some NL's running around at least.

CHARLES I HAD TO DO ALL THE DEWS + DARKNESSES TO GET VAMP! U LUCKY H0E!

Lol anyways here my recommendations about hp problem. I have 13.5k hp without any extra buffs at lvl 186 .
S Rank character card set = free 700 hp, A rank gives free 500 hp. (Since u can use 2 decks, its easy way to get at least 1k hp )
evol ring 1/2 gives free +150 hp each.
MoN gives +300 hp.
And the new neo city time traveler gives +400.
That right there is an extra 2.2k hp.
Then some extra eqs:
Czak helm/empress 3 set = easy 10%-15% max hp. (if u have 3 empress + czak u get 25% hp!)
Rex earrings = easy 10% hp.
In best circumstances, u can have an extra 35% hp! Even if u cant afford czak, u can still have 25% hp.
Finally, pots can give %hp. My epic htp gives 6% hp. xD

For me, i dont have the empress set, so i have an extra 26% hp. (10% czak, 10% rex, 6% htp.)
With this, u can have 13k+ hp, survive anywhere cept bosses like magmus and empress, and train pretty well.
And if u can get vamp, ull be off pretty well.

My NL got hacked on xmas day and lost few good items. So I quit after seeing my damage being below average (dexless). Then again, my account got hacked and my NL gone forever.

Bring Drain back! I'm sick of using up a pot after 1 hit at SH. Max SS ain't very helpful there either.

So I spend my days rotting at Ardentmill and Henesys gathering Fame and raising my traits.

@SuberKieran: 1v1 isn't really a problem, but new classes will make everyone look bad in comparison.

Current (not factoring delays, but NL is faster while DB has more hits)
QT: 293 * 4 hits * 1.7 = 1992.4%
PB: 200 * 6 hits * 1.7 = 2040%

Post-Hyper Skills (not factoring delays again, but same as above)
Q(uintuple)T: 293 * 1.2 * 5 hits * 1.7 = 2988.6%
PB: 200 * 1.2 * 7 hits * 1.7 = 2856%

The problem is mobbing. It's close-range, so it doesn't play well at all (a ranged class having to play like a Warrior). The number of useless skills (3-5+) has also stuck with NL's since pre-BB. Nexon's never been too keen on knowing how to revamp NL's. For example, Shadow Web is outdated (close-range binding skill used to flee from mobs), but it works somewhat like L7 as of post-Justice (actually throwing 2 webs with SP). That still doesn't make sense when you have skills like L7, Shuriken Burst, Wind Talisman, and TT by 3rd job that can do a similar job more efficiently.

Night Lords aren't really my thing but I don't see why other people don't play them, their damage isn't as bad as everyone thinks

Quadstar 4x300x1.7=2040
Phantom Blow 6x200x1.7=2040

I understand that if you're capping every hit it makes a difference (and it won't soon) but otherwise it doesn't (I don't know the delays so I didn't include those)
If I switched over to a NL (and got a perfect claw) I would have a higher range I can get almost 40k clean with a garner becauses of the higher att multiplier on claws.

I remember back when I played my NW pre-BB I loved it and had a lot of fun too (I miss avenger though) and I really don't understand why more people aren't playing NLs now.
Don't we become decent after hyper skills?
Yes, but every class is also getting Hyper Skills, so it's not like we'll jump in damage output significantly compared to others.

Our 1v1 increases a bit due to Quintuple Throw at 195. Our mobbing also increases with Four Seasons, but we're still reliant on being close-range to mob efficiently.
NL's are still exsistant. Recently Ive been getting short with my NL mainly because I need to pump so much funding into him to get any damage. Also the fact that mobbing is extremely hard! What was Nexon thinking when they made the revamp?

Nexon head: "Well ok guyss hmmm lets see, how can we improve the NL class?"

Dumb Nx Employee: "We could make them have a NEW mobbing skill!"

Nexon head: "Well thatd be splleeeeendid! How will it work?"

Dumb Nx Employee: "Since they are a low HP class, lets make it so they have to jump right in the middle of the mobs!"

Nexon head: "How will that be any better...?"

Dumb Nx Employee: "....ninja's.......

Nexon Head: 'O-O PERFECT! GET RIGHT ON THAT!"

Gosh darn it Nexon, give avenger back PLEASE D:
Same with Shadowers and assulter and BoT, because they need their ninja's more than we do -.-
I don't mind Shade Split, but I just assume someone at Nexon probably is a Shad fanboy, thought BoT was the greatest thing ever, and assumed Avenger sucked, so voila, we got Shade Split.

Then the guy who balanced Shads was having lag issues so he removed Assaulter and BoT so he could just spam that pushy skill in 3rd job and level up to 4th. xD

Edit - Add me to the pile that likes our 5th Star as a reward at Lvl 195. I'm looking forward to it. xD

@underpaying: yea it does give more incentive cause after 120 you would try out all your skills then boss and stuff but after that all you could do is merch. The new hyper skills are great however i still cant be bothered to level up =P

I really don't like NLs or NWs but I've decided to make a UA Sin.
Already got my NW to level 104 and the class seems pretty fun to use...
Can't wait to make my Sin <3

I don't see why anyone wouldn't give the class a try otherwise based off what @underpaying said...

@xxanbuxx: Dang. That was deep. My heart now longs to become a Pre-BB NL. You guys worked so hard, and now all of you fall to newer classes. Thank you for you're opinion kind sir.

@orangeking11: Yeah. You're probably right. xD

@Mydget: I'm glad you still play your NL. I feel kinda sad when I train at LHC with only a 13k range, and I rarely get invited to parties. I'm glad my guild accepts and PQ's with me from time to time. I also tend to jump and attack, despite not playing Pre-BB. It just seemed more ninja-like. xD

I never played Pre-BB. I'm not gonna go over a huge war over which maple was better, but it seems like old maple was a lot more social. I enjoy maple as it is today, and I'm glad for everyone's opinions on Night Lords. Thank you basilers.

Must admit my old Night Lord was a pain to level. : (
Got to the point where it was so bad, where'd die atleast once an hour at any training spot.

You cant expect a ranged class, to have a close mobbing skill. I don't get that logic. Considering the Health Points aswell.
One tip would be, to make those Potions which increase max HP. Those did help me.

Or wait out a possibly revamp in the future. : ]

Well for all you new NL's you get it so easy tt used to be a bil n half. you used to punch monsters and not throw if they were to close to you. When you first got Fj it was like damn im da sht. Games really changed. But i think NL's take a certain type of player and anyone that goes through with them ends up dedicated to the class. Ive been A NL since 2005 ill be one until this game goes offline. As for all these revamp questions. You never know might just be a matter of time. Are damage does seem alot weaker then everyone elses. I have noticed even with all my funding over the past years with perfect scrolled items and alot of percent luk still not hitting what some people hit with crap equips and very lil percent. And to you all who want to rock balances. I have 16 stars in my inventory. Wait for a 8 slot coupon to go on sale in cs and buy one you cant go wrong if your going to play your sin . Especially if your like me and forget to hit shadow stars or go to fn boss and then get it dispeled all the damn time. Are shifter seems alot weaker to now that i think about it gg nexon. lol @ hene ho3 remark. We go there cuz we gets bored. oh how i miss dem hhg1 2 and 3.

The same idea applies to Maplestory though. There are other things where Maplers could be spending their time and efforts to actually be more productive, but it's a game, you don't have to be the most efficient or productive, just play. xD
