I have to reinstall maple?
Well, I've had MapleStory installed and downloaded on my computer for months.
However, because of this new patch, everything is buggered up. At first, my patch would stop and it would say the "ADMIN_CHAT" or whatever thing, and it told me to try again.
So I tried gamelauncher, but it kept failing to execute. So I opened Steam and tried running from there, but then it said it was downloading Maplestory? And the estimated time was two hours or something.
I went back to the main website, and now it's saying "the requested operation requires elevation" and is making me download and reinstall. When I click "ok", it says it already exists, and then I need to overwrite it...?
Wat.
I didn't uninstall it at any point T.T I don't really understand what happened.
Do I have to actually reinstall maplestory all over again? Lmao. Or is there another way around this?

What a coincidence... i have to reinstall Maple too -.-
It said the same to me but I just got on and played anyway. Afterwards there was a servercheck with another patch so I assume that patch fixed that error!
I think I'm just going to compile a list of all the threads created today about this issue.

I spent about 10minutes looking through Basil trying to find a thread like this, but I couldn't. I guess I just missed them.
Sorry to all those Basilers who are annoyed with these threads. xD I saw some about the "CHAT_ADMIN", but not about reinstalling. My bad.
if you want to play from steam it will reinstall it for you. I think you have to reinstall anyway
