Entered high school a few months ago
So on September I became a freshman at a high school in NJ. So few months flew in, and it seems that people are starting to do drugs. There has already been a girl who has been caught with heroine. I just got news of people doing drugs because I am pretty much a shut in. Is there a certain way to stay away from these people even though I do not know how many people there are?

What the! When I was in High School majority of us didn't like drugs and those who did them were like there own groups stayed in a corner (usually a step away from school property and in a place where there is shade and/or those big electricity box and didn't bother anyone.
Some people are experimental, but hey your body at the moment is doing some changes and drugs will mess everything up. So don't do it.
Things I did in High School was join a sport activity or a club.
If you use (any) drugs while doing sports activity you are going to have a really bad time.

Heroin was a big problem when I was in high school, back in 2005. The high school I live by now is also in the grips of it. Most of the kids get started on prescription painkillers, not realizing that the more powerful ones like OxyContin are basically just patented heroin anyway.
OT: I wouldn't worry about the people themselves; just don't elect to get into drug use. Simple, right?
The druggies have a special place where they do that stuff. My school's place is the south lawn/patio
you just avoid hanging out with them. Like you can talk to them and stuff in school but just avoid them outside of school. Thats what I did and it made my school life easier
