New T.v. and my ps3 is in black and white. Help Please

So yeah I just got a new lcd t.v. and for some reason my ps3 is only displaying black and white colour. The normal channels are with colour though. Also the old t.v. was fine. It has colour. Does anyone know what I could do to try and fix the problem?
Nope, you should really buy an HDMI cable - play games in HD like a baws. Make sure to buy the cheapest hdmi cable and not the overpriced crap next to it that essentially gives out the same quality. In the meantime, just use your old tv.
Yeah i borrowed the hdmi cable from the living room to see if it fixes the problem and works just fine. I guess i have to go out and buy another cable. The sound quality and graphics looks amazing. Playing Skyrim on this beast is so much fun.

Thanks guys for the help!

Nooo! That'd be terrible.
So then there's no other way to fix it besides getting the hdmi cable?

The button just changes the sources. Only tv, componenet, and pc are high lighted. AV, HDMI1 and HDMI2 are not highlighted. I try to go over av2 and press it but it says that there is no source connected to it. :l
I looked in the maunal and it doesnt say how to swtich? So how would i switch it from composite to av?
Look for a button on your remote that says input or changes your input (hdmi, av, component, pc, etc.)

Yeah, that would do it...on that mode, its looking for a red blue green cable setup, which from what i hear, it dosent have...thus its only getting one of the three signals it thinks its supposed to, so the result? black and white screen.

What input is the TV currently on that's showing black and white?

but there aren't any red white and yellow on the t.v. :O
it said in the manual that the green could be used as the yelllow. Also there's an hdmi option but i dont have the cable for that yet.

They dont, red white and yellow is entirely different from red blue and green.

EDIT: To explain further, ill explain the differences.
With red white and yellow, you have two audio cables (red and white) and a composite video (yellow)
With red blue and green, you have no audio cables, and what is normally one wire (yellow) is split into 3 different wires, each carrying a different part of the video image, audio cables are separate and not part of this form of video connection.
