Tip on how not to die

I currently play a level 117 Fire mage, and I love it so much.
It's so much fun even though he isn't the strongest character I've played.

There's only one problem, I die... all the time.
It takes me days upon days to level up because I die so constantly.

Does anyone have any tips to learn how to not die on a mage?

P.s. My main is a warrior so that might have something to do with my constant deaths.

Thank you in advance. ^.^

=D thank you everyone
But I think my main problem is I'm not used to looking at my mp.
Yeah, I keep magic guard on and it is maxed.

Use potions when you reach 40% health or lower, And keep either ginger ales or elixers/power elixers/guild potions on hand in easy reach so you can heal your mp and hp because you rely on both to stay alive. Always have magic guard on (Please tell me you maxed it) because without it you will be dying in 2 hits or less. I feel odd when switching from warrior>Mage/Archer too, the health goes down much faster so you have to keep an eye on that. Also try reducing the amount you get hit. (Hard if your training at lhc or dgp or something). At your level I would go to bearwolves and have a party to help keep them pinned, reducing the amount you get hit. Also the type of potion you use is just as important. At your level you should be using mana bulls in nlc paired with either Unagis, or the crusader codex hp potions (I use them since they're cheaper) and I keep the guild potions or Ginger ales close by in case I need to recover both my hp and mp (Really useful for 1/1's at bosses). Hope this helped!

EDIT: Also practice telecasting. It helps a lot in reducing damage done to you and therefor deaths. Here are some examples

Also seal is very effective if you have it to protect against magic attacks.

you can try stacking 4 zombie rings for + 400hp/mp. or any other ring for +hp. medals can add hp as well.

I died a lot too at dgp's. What I did was go into hardcore gaming mode.

If you tend to get bumped around a lot, I'd suggest using ginger ales (75% hp/mp recovery) rather than an individual hp and mp potion. Best thing to do is quite simply avoid getting hit - mages and warriors differ a lot here. Practice teleporting backwards whilst still attacking forwards, it helps a lot when you want to get out of sticky situations.

The warrior main doesn't help. At all xD
Make sure you are always using magic guard. Also, use teleport and mist to their full potential. You shouldn't get hit too much when using those skills together.
