Bucc play style help

Hello, everyone that I've talked to seems to enjoy their bucc, so I decided to start leveling my marauder. Can anyone give me a general idea of a bucc's mobbing and bossing play style? I would really appreciate any help/tips. Thanks!

Jetts octopunch is crap.. Bucca get octo at lv 100 and lv 1 octo is already way better than that jetts gamma or w.e crap. Jetts shouldve never come out, and nexon should never bring them back either.

Pathetic unoriginal excuse of a class

Before the revamp it was fun becuz you can be immune to damage and it was kinda hard to maintain the immunity.
Now its LAZORS LAZOR PEWPEW LAZORS
Just my thoughts.
Hard? Haha, no.

I'm sorry, but from a pre-bb bucc, iframes were easy to maintain. Did not take much effort to get the hang of it.

Daaaam, 600~700k lines for Octo on non-boss mobs o.o
I'm guessing 200%+ str?

Looks pretty fun. May I ask approximately how much % str and attack you have in that video?

octo is your 1v1
D strike is your mass mobber to fill your energy
Bucc blast is your main mass mobbing skill when your energy bar is filled
naut strike is your map control
Time Leap is.. well... pretty self explanatory. Makes Echo have a 25 minute cooldown at level 5 TL
Free super trans mount at 4th job

Mount Cancelling.

Well, the most fundamental way to play a PvE Bucc is essentially using Dragon Strike in mid-to-close-range proximity, up until EC is in full effect, and then use Buccaneer Blast in repetition (due to its tremendous range and damage) using any rushing skill in sequence (as needed) to get within proximity to attack. In extremely close proximity (or against single targets with sufficient amounts of HP) you'd use Octopunch. But that, again, is the most fundamental way to play a Buccaneer.

If you're the experimental type, little things -- like jump-casting DS to preserve directional momentum or attack while leaping down from platforms, utilizing Somersault to avoid readable attacks where suitable, using Corkscrew to grapple to platforms with mobs on them, or even being aware of mount-cancelling, as it may improve map traversal and makes Nautilus a viable means to charge energy -- may interest you, but may or may not make a significant impact on how you play your Bucc.

Basically, in my honest opinion, as long as you're having fun with it, I'd say you're playing it just fine... Unless you're in an LHC party. There are standards after all

Spiral Assault+Corkscrew Blow for rushing purposes, also excellent methods of charging while rushing. If you need a standing charge move, Dragon Strike is your best bet, while Buccaneer Blast is superior in the vast majority of circumstances due to increased range and damage; it might be better if jump casting Dragon Strike would kill a mob and you're on the edge of the screen, but that's about it. Somersault Kick can be timed to dodge attacks, either to bide time for Perseverance to kick in, to avoid things such as 1/1 attacks, status inflicting attacks that require a hit to be dealt or simply reducing the consumption of potions.

For one versus one, Octopunch is your main damage dealer; the thing is pretty damn good against single targets, and it's much better than Buccaneer Blast in that regard. One versus one is simply, and the only thing you'd end up using other than buffs and Octopunch is Somersault Kick for iframes. You could Spiral Assault+Corkscrew Blow if you need to rush a boss, but that's about it.

I still use somersault in fourth job because I find it interesting.
Also spiral assault and corkscrew when put together are great for mobbing.
Buccs are mainly fun for me because I'm using skills from all jobs

It is boring, repetitive, and it sucks.

IMO ofc

For me I just Tend to Octopunch a lot for 1v1 and for mobbing Dragon strike is great because of high damage and speed but if energy is charged and I am taking damage I can stand back and buccaneer blast. Bucc blast can also be used as 1v1 as ranged but its sleds attacks and pretty slow
