Maplestory forced me to Euthanize someone today

In the zero quest line, on the last part of Edelstein, we had to get a poison for the Arsen guy.
Well, in the guides it says medicine, but in the brief part I actually say said something about giving poison to him and this isn't med school stuff.
So, did anyone read that quest?
Did we kill someone, or does this poison work like antivenom? lol

I believe Claudine extracted something from the poison that was needed to undo the brainwashing damage.
