weird potential glitch

I found an axe that has rare potential, but the border is purple as in epic. I've tried logging out and back on and it is still there. I showed one of my guildmates it and she saw the same thing i did. This has never happened to me and its pretty freaky. I can provide pics if you don't believe me, but i have no idea what to do or if its worth anything. Has this happened to anyone else on here?
