Lag while playing ms and Watching Netflix

lately (about a week or so), i've been experiencing major lag and bandwith usage on my house's network. I can't download something without netflix stopping (my dad's watching it), and maplestory is very VERY laggy.

Is anyone else going through this?
Any help is appreciated

From what you said, I take it there was a change in the behavior of your Internet connection..?
That is, you USED to be able to download, stream videos (NetFlix) and play Maplestory all at the same time, but that changed at some point..?

Any time you try to do more than one thing on the same Internet connection it's going to cause each thing to slow down because everything you try to do has to share the bandwidth you get from your ISP, and each connection has just so much bandwidth available. So it would be normal for a big download to slow a video stream or game.

But if you used to be able to do all these things and it changed, then there are a few things you can check.

First thing, find your broadband modem. It will be the box connected either to the Cable TV cable or plugged into a telephone wall jack. (Most likely Cable if you could stream and download at the same time.)
Once you find the modem, unplug the power connector from the back, wait a few seconds the plug it back in.
This will restart the modem and make it reconnect to your ISP and possibly get a better connection which will restore your normal speed.

If this doesn't help, call your ISP's tech support and tell them you've been experiencing slowdowns, and ask them to run a "line test" to your house.
They can run a remote test that will check the cabling between their equipment and your house to see if there are any problems they can fix. They should also be able to check the logs in your modem or router to see if there are any indications of a problem with the equipment.
