Firepoisonarchmage

Staff or Wand

Hey Everyone,
I haven't played in a while, and I have no idea how the Staff/Wand debate breaks down post red. Is attack speed even a factor for a FP mage? (Pre lv 100 and Post 100 if there is a difference).

IF anyone could explain which is better, thanks!

At some point weapon speed did affect the speed of explosion but dunno if that's the case now.

since RED you cant use magic skills with sword =
befor i could even use some skills with tuna(PA)
about staff wands, both work the same for explorer mage, and speed attack is depended on you buffs only as explorer, staffs is more popupar, easier to find, and has higher m,atk base

In terms of attack speed, apparently the attack speed on weapons don't apply to our casting speed, so whether its fast, slow, or normal, it won't affect us at all.
Staves are the better option since they come with more magic attack than wands.

@stany123: It is. It was for sale - when it just came out, as a suprise perm cash equip box thing,
I remember it was put on for sale by some random person, and people sad the hat looks ugly, and nobody could wear such an ugly hat, and that's why it's not selling.
I disagreed, and bought the hat right away.
It became kindof my icon equip

EDIT: where did you get that hat
I cannot believe how happy I am to read this comment.
Even if you are sarcastic, I'm so gay for you right now man xD

That hat is the first NX item I ever bought, and my favorite one~
Thank you so much haha!

@ColdFridge:
Yes, any 1h weapon would work, that includes maces as well. It also includes axes, and any other common items.
I remember being a priest training with Shining Ray, I used a pole arm surf-board, feeling preety satisfied, even though my damage sucked and I didn't even noticed.
Strange, explorer mages should work fine with both staves and wands... and even swords!
Don't forget about maces!
@natty2: Now I just stick with staffs
That's what you're supposed to do, seeing as staves have better m.att.

I'd report that as a glitch. My I/L uses both weapons fine.

A staff will always have higher base stats than its wand counterpart. That's really the only meaningful difference.
